    Notes:

    William R. Moore, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully in Ormond Beach, FL on January 31, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Born in Indiana, PA on February 10, 1934 to the late William and Erma (Russell) Moore.
    He was a 1952 graduate of Niagara Falls High School, served in the US Army from 1956-1958, retired from Carborundum Abrasives in 1996 after 44 years of service. He was a member of the 100 Club, LaSalle Sportsmen's Club, Niagara Falls BOCCE League. He loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, hunter and could always be found with a book in his hand. "A tell it as he saw it kind of guy."
    Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lily E. (Bowman) Moore; daughters, Cynthia (Michael) Thompson of Westerville, OH, Susan Reele of Niagara Falls, NY; six grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Thompson, Sarah Reele, Kate (Elkie Burnside) Thompson, AJ (Caitlyn) Thompson, Samantha (Michael) Brekke, Ruth Ann (Alisha) Thompson and four great-grandchildren, Declan, Caroline, Reese and Wesleigh Thompson; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, H. Thomas (June) Moore; a sister, Patricia (Donald) Cantara; and son-in-law, David (Susan) Reele.
    A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Assosication, American Kidney Foundation or a charity of one's choice.

    man, 74, retired millwright who died
    late Saturday at hisv home, will be
    held at the"Gridley Funeral home at
    2 p. m., Wednesday.
    Mr. Bowman, who lived at 2216
    Twenty-first street, had served with
    the Isco Chemical division, Innis
    Speideo and company, for 24 years.
    He retired four years ago. •
    Memorial services for Mr. Bowman
    will be conducted by the Niagara
    River Lodge 785, F and AM,
    at 8 p. m., tomorrow at the funeral
    home, -
    A native of Fenwick, Ont., Mr.
    Bowman had lived in Niagara Falls
    for the last 55 years. He was a member
    of the Bellevue Lodge 316,100F,.
    the Canadian Order of Odd Fellows
    and the Niagara River lodge.
    Surviving arc his wife, Lily A.;
    four sons, Edgar P., C. Bruce and
    Fred W. Bowman, this city, and
    La Verne A. Bowman, Rahsomville;
    two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hildebrandt,
    this, city, and Mrs. Raymond
    Thiboult, Lewiston; a- brother,
    Charles A. Bowman, Ridgeville, OnL
    He is also survived by 20 grandchildren
    and four grelt-grandchildren.
    The Rev. David H. Weeks will
    officiate at the .services.
    Burial will be in Riverdale cemetery

    Mr. and Mrs. John E. Bowman
    of 2216 Twenty-first street, invited
    their family to be home with them
    for dinner Tuesday evening. Oct.
    7, the occasion being their fortyfifth
    wedding anniversary.
    Two long dining tables were at
    tractively arranged and centered
    with a large cake, nicely decorated
    with a miniature bridal couple on
    top. Pink was the color scheme
    throughout.
    Those present were Mr. and Mrs.
    and family, LaVern Jr, Richard,
    John, Janette, Calvin and Sandia;
    Mr. and Mrs. C. Bruce Bowman
    and ther family. Maxine, Roxanna
    and Charles Bruce; Mr. and Mrs.
    Fred W. Bowman and their family,
    Jean and Jimmie; Mr. and Mrs.
    Charles Hlldebrandt (nee Clara
    Bowman) and Miss Beatrice Bowman,
    at home; Mr. William Fltzgeral,
    of Twenty-first street.
    Sorrow came to the home of their
    eldest son. Mr. Edgar P. Bowman,
    Ontario avenue in the early morning.
    Mrs. Bowman's father, Mr. J.
    Snelllng, suddenly passed away.
    But Mr. Bowman and daughter,
    Miss Eva Bowman, and Mrs. Bowman's
    son and wife. Mr. and Mrs.
    Robert Coats, called for a brief
    period at the dinner hour. Mrs.
    Bowman and little daughters, Lily
    and Beatrice, were not present.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bowman were the
    recipients of many lovely gifts-and
    cards' of congratulations from their
    family and friends, wishing them
    many more happy returns of the
    day

    Joseph J. Snelltng. 66 years old.
    a resident of this city for the last
    35 years, died this morning at the
    home of George Hohschwiler. Lockport,
    to whom he had been accustomed
    to pay frequent short
    visits recently. He lived with his
    daughter. Mrs. Edgar Bowman, at
    2423 Ontario avenue.
    Mr. Snelling was a native of Llstowell.
    Ont. In recent years he
    had been employed as Janitor at
    several office buildings here, working
    last at the Moose Tower hotel.'
    He Is survived by three daughters.
    Mrs. Ida Gray, of Niagara Falls.
    Ont, and Mrs. Greta Stademan
    and Mm. Edith Bowman, of this
    city; a son. Melvil R Snelling. of
    Niagara Falls. Ont : two ,sisters.
