    Notes:

    Harold D. Wollaber, Sr., of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at his home, under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in Cambria, NY, on March 7, 1938, the son of the late Oscar C. and Myra E. (Burnett) Wollaber.
    Mr. Wollaber attended the Erie Tech College in Indiana.
    He worked on the construction of the New York State Power Authority in Lewiston, before starting the H.D. Wollaber Electric-Heating & Refrigeration in 1960, which he owned and operated until retiring in 2018.
    Mr. Wollaber was an active member of over 59 years with the Cambria Volunteer Fire Company. He was a member of the Finger Lakes RV Club and the Family Motor Coach Association. Mr. Wollaber was an avid snowmobiler and enjoyed traveling throughout the country.
    He was the husband of the late Sandra L. (Young) Wollaber, who passed away in 2013.
    Mr. Wollaber is survived by his son, Harold D. Wollaber II; three grandchildren, Harold (Amber) III, Michael (Jordan) and Cameron Wollaber; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Lorelei; a special nephew, William (Joann) Wollaber; also a niece, many nephews; and his beloved dog, Colby.
    He was the brother of the late Burnett (living Doris) and Kenneth (late Peg) Wollaber.
    His family will be present on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. The Cambria Volunteer Fire Co. will conduct a memorial service on Monday at 7:00 PM. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery.
    Memorials may be made in his name to the Cambria Vol. Fire Co.

    Constance "Connie" Salmeri, age 75 of Newfane, died Sunday May 7, 2017 at her home under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice.
    Connie was born April 14, 1942 in Wilson, the daughter of the late Seymour "Pat" and Lucille (Britton) Martin. She lived most of her life in Wilson before moving to Newfane ten years ago. Connie had worked on the Assembly Line at Harrison Radiator from 1962 to 1967. On July 22, 1975 she married Frank Salmeri. Frank predeceased her in 1986. Connie was a past President of the American Legion B. Leo Dolan Post Ladies Auxiliary in Lockport.
    She is survived by her children, Harold Wollaber (Stacy Shimshack) of the Town of Cambria, Carl Wollaber of Lockport, Patti Sorrento (John Kos) of DuBois, PA, and Michelle (Joel) Hare of Newfane; her brothers, Ronald (Molly) and Pat (Micki) Martin; her sisters, Karen (Richard) Bohn and Cherri Potocki; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Kos, and a brother, Jim Martin.
    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 10, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. J. Fay Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.

    68, of 3617 Lower Mountain
    Road, died today (Aug. 19,
    1965) at his home after an apparent
    heart attack. He had
    been in ill health for three
    years.
    He was born in the Town of
    Cambria Aug. 8, 1897, son of
    Charles and Adelaide Sabin
    Wollaber.
    Mr. Wollaber had been a
    farmer in the Pekin-Cambria
    area most of his life and did
    threshing on county farms.
    He was a tax collector for the
    Town of Cambria for six years
    and worked also as a fireman
    at Mount View Hospital, Lockport,
    for eight years,. He was
    a member of the Church of
    Christ, Lewiston, and an ac«
    tive member of the Pekin Vol.
    unteer Fire Co.
    Survivors include his widow,
    Myra Burnett Wollaber; three
    sons, Burnett, Kenneth and
    Harold Wollaber, all of Sanborn;
    a brother, Edward Wollaber,
    L o c k p o r t , and five
    grandchildren.
    Services will be conducted
    at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pike
    and Jones Funeral Home here,
    George Brown of the Church
    of Christ officiating. Burial
    will be in North Ridge Cemetery.

    Sanborn. April 7.-A very pretty
    wedding occurred at t h e home of Mr,
    and Mrs. Griffin Burnett of Sanborn
    on Saturday evening, April 3rd, at 7.30
    o'clock when their daughter. Myra
    Estella, was united in marriage to Mr.
    Oscar C. Wollaber, son of Mr. and.
    Mrs. Charles Wollaber also of Sanborn.
    Roy. Mr. O. Tallman , pastor of
    the Church of Christ in Jordan, Canada,

    performed the ceremony. To the
    strains of Mendelssohn wedding
    march, the bridal party took their
    places under an arch of spring flowers.
    The bride wore a d r e s s of white
    s a t in trimmed with pearls and net
    pearls were the only trimming of her
    tulle veil in cap effect. She carried
    a shower bouquet of s w e e t peas. The
    attendants were: Miss Marion Burnett,
    a cousin of t h e bride, who wore
    a silver-net d r e s s over apricot satin,
    and Mr. Evere H. Burnett, also a cou-
    sin. A reception for about fifty of the
    immediate relatives and friends fol-
    lowed the ceremony. Twelve were
    seated at the bride's table which was
    decorated with spring flowers. The
    place cards and favors matched the
    color of the flowers. The out-of-
    town guests were: Mr. and Mrs.
    Frank Horton and daughter of Fre-
    donia; Miss Clara H. Sabin of East
    Aurora; Mr. and Mrs. Samuel carey
    of East Aurora, and Mrs. Alida Bar-
    num of Niagara Falls, and Mr. and
    Mrs. Rheuben Martin of Niagara
    Falls; Miss Leona Mcdonald of Ni-
    agara Falls; Miss Edna Allard of
    Bufflalo; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wolla-
    ber of Lockport. Mr. and Mrs. Wolla-
    ber have gone for a eastern trip
    and upon their return will be at home
    on the Rheuben Martin farm on the
    lower mountain road where their
    home is in reddiness for them.

    SANBORN, Mar. 12 - The funerel
    of Charles Wollaber, age 71, who died
    at his home In this village on Wednesday,
    March 9, was held from his
    late home on Friday at 1:10. The
    Rer. F. N. Taft officiated, assisted
    by Rer. B. W. Arnold. The Independent
    Order of Odd Fellows attended
    In a body and had a, part in the
    service at the home and conducted
    the service at the grave. Mr. Wollaber
    is survived by his wife. Addle
    (Sabine), two sons, Edgar of Lockport,
    and Oscar of the Million Dollar
    highway, one brother, William, of
    the Ridge road, one sister, Mary Wollaber
    of Sanborn, and two grandchildren.
    Deceased was the son of the
    late William and Abbie (Tisdale)
    Wollaber, and was born at the Wollaber
    homstead on the Ridge road. In
    his early married life he lived on the
    Comstock farm on the Saunders Settelment
    road; later be bought a farm
    on the Lower Mountain road where
    he lived until eight years ago when
    he moved to Sanborn. Three years
    ago he suffered a stroke and has been
    confined to his home ever since. He
    was a member of the Cambria Center
    church, Forest lodge, L O. O. FNo.
    202; the Orange and Pomona
    Orange. The funeral was very largely
    attended, showing the esteem in
    which he was held.
    The bearers were Messrs. Ray
    Kline, N. C. Martin, Clyde Dean, Oeo.
    Sornberger. R. T. Le Van and Mervyn
    W. Trelchler, members of the
    L O. O. F. Burial was In North Ridge
    cemetery.

    Wollaber. 86 years old. wife of the
    late Charles Wollaber,- died early
    this morning at the family home,
    in West street, after a long period
    of ill health.
    Mrs. Wollaber was born in the
    town of Lockport and had been a
    lifelong resident of Niagara county.
    She married the late Mr, Wollaber
    in 1891 and for some years after
    their marriage resided on a farm
    in the town of Cambria. They came
    to make their home in Sanborn
    in 1921. Mrs. Wollaber in former
    years was an active member of

    the Unlversalist church at North
    Ridge, N. Y.
    She is survived by two sons, Ed-
    gar, of North Ridge, and Oscar,
    of Pekin, N.Y.; three sisters, Mrs.
    Mary mcNeil, of North Ridge,
    Blanch Sabin and Cora Sabin, both
    of this village; one brother, Wil-
    liam Sabin, of North Ridge, and

    Funeral services will be held at

    PEKIN. March 1-Griffin S. Burnett
    died yesterday at the home of
    his brother. William Burnett. In the
    Lower Mountain road. Mr. Burnett
    had been ill the last three weeks.
    He was a retired fanner and was
    born on the-farm, In the Lower
    Mountain road, July 24, 1868, where
    he had lived all his life. He was
    removed to the brother's home when
    taken ill.
    He was a son of the late William
    Burnett and Margaret Henderson
    Burnett. His mother came here
    from Ireland. He was a member of
    the Pekln Methodist church. His
    wife, Eva Allard Burnett, died several
    years ago.
    He U survived by one daughter,
    Mrs. Oscar Wollaver(sic), of the Lower
    Mountain road: two brothers, William
    Burnett, of the Lower Mountain
    road, and Ellsworth Burnett of
    Pekln; four grandchildren, four
    great grandchildren and several
    nieces and nephews.
    The funeral will be held Wednesday
    at 2:30 pm. from the home
    of his brother. Burial' will be In
    Mountain View cemetery.

    PEKIN, N.Y., July 21-Mrs. Eva
    Allard Burnett passed away at the
    Memorial hospital. Niagara Falls, on
    Saturday July 17th. She had been
    ill for about 13 weeks. During that
    time she underwent, three operations
    but they failed to help her.
    Besides her husband, she is survived
    by a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Wollaber,

    two granchildren, Miss Leona Mur-
    phy and:Bumess Wollaber, her par-
    ents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Allard and
    one sister, Mrs.H. L. Pierce, .all of
    Pekin.
    Mrs. Burnett had lived here all of
    °her life. Her interest was centered
    ln her home, and the place she held
    in it can never be filled. .
    The funeral services were held from
    the family residence on the lower
    Mountaln road on Tuesday, July 20th.
    at 3 p.m. Burial was in Mount View
    cemetery Pekin,

    his home after a lengthy illness.
    He was a former peace justice,
