Obituary of Amber R. Maranto

Amber R. Maranto, age 55 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on May 20, 2019 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with several illnesses. She was born in Niagara Falls on January 9, 1964 to the late Richard and the late Judy Rohde Ault. Amber graduated from LaSalle Sr. High School in 1982. She married Paul M. Abel, they has over 15 years together before his passing in 1999.
On July 28, 2001 she married Mark Maranto and she became instant mom to his daughter, Meghan Maranto. They had a daughter Camille Rose "Cammi" Maranto. Amber’s first passion was to love her family and she did that unconditionally. She worked in banking for many years, and as an administrative assistant for Niagara County. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She has the most beautiful smile and lived life with a cup half full attitude.
 
Amber is survived by her husband, Mark Maranto; her daughters Meghan and Camille Maranto; her brother Brian (Stephanie) Rohde; her sister Candice (Jeffrey) Begley; her stepfather Norman Ault; her paternal aunt Donna (Calvin) Hockenberry and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
Family and friends may call on THURSDAY from 4-8 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. N. Fourth and Ridge Sts. Lewiston, NY. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on FRIDAY (MAY 24) at 11:00 AM.

udy A. Ault, age 74 of Ransomville, died Saturday June 3, 2017 in the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport after a short illness.
 
Judy was born December 31, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Donald F. and Marie C. (York) DeTamble. She had various careers through the years. Judy made and sold crafts on the internet as CRAFTYJUDY and at one time had worked as a lounge singer. She excelled as a housewife, mom, and grandmother. Judy loved traveling and cruises.
 
Judy's first husband, Richard R. Rohde, predeceased her in 1988. On June 5, 1993 she married Norman Ault. In addition to Norman, she is survived by a son, Brian (Stephanie) Rohde; two daughters, Amber (Mark) Maranto and Candice (Jeff) Begley; a sister, Donna (Calvin) Hockenberry; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by a sister, Terry (Fred) Diez.

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 7, at 11:00 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.

Edward F. York Sr., 76. of
1016 E. Falls St. died. Thursday
(Jan. 5, 1967) at his home,
after a brief illness.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. York
came to this city from Man-
chester, N.Y. and had lived
here for the last 40 years. He
worked for various contractors
as a painter until his retir-
ment about 10 years ago.
Mr. York was a member of
Painters and Decorators Local
No. 65.
Surviving are his widow,
Ruth; two sons, Edward F.
York Jr. of Ransomville, and
Roy E. York of San Jose,
Calif.; three daughters, Mrs.
Ean (Helen) Christofferson,
also of San Jose, Mrs. Donald
(Marie) DeTamble of Youngs-
town, and Mrs. Joanne Beeny
of Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchil-
dren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
Monday at Bell Funeral Home
at 9 a.m. and at Our Lady of
Lebanon Church at 9:30 a.m.
The rosary will be recited at
the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sun-
day. Burial will be in Gate of
Heaven Cemetery.

5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and
