    Andrew C. Napier, age 36 of Youngstown, died unexpectedly on Wednesday July 19, 2017 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.
    Andrew was born November 10, 1980 in Lewiston, NY, the son of Elizabeth A. (Laidlaw) Napier of Youngstown and Thomas Napier of Lewiston. He was a 1999 graduate of St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Niagara University in 2004. Andrew owned and operated a landscaping company, Native Proscape, in Punta Gorda, FL for 10 years, returning to Youngstown four years ago.
    He was a communicant of St. Bernard RC Church in Youngstown. An avid golfer, Andrew enjoyed playing all over the East Coast. Family and friends will remember him as being full of life.
     
    In addition to his parents he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy (late Thomas) Napier and several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Doris and Charles Laidlaw.
     
    A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 25, at 9:30 AM in St. Bernard RC Church, Hinman & Second Sts., Youngstown, with the Rev. Msgr. David G. LiPuma officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 387, Youngstown, NY 14174. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth &. Ridge Sts., Lewiston.

    age 75, of Lewiston, New York made his transition on September 16th, 2023, at home with his wife, Barbara Rice.Born on August 31st, 1948, to Thomas A. Napier and Dorothy VandenBosch in Niagara Falls, NY. He was predeceased by his son Andrew Napier on July 19th, 2017. The oldest of four children, Tom is survived by his sisters, Joan (Kim) Quarantilllo, Judith Napier (Bryan Aaker) and his brother Timothy Napier, also his nieces and nephews. Tom graduated from Lew-Port H.S class of 1966, then from Niagara University in 1970. Tom dabbled in Lewiston politics from an early age serving as Village Trustee and Deputy Mayor and was instrumental in opening Art Park in 1975 all while beginning a sterling career in the waste management business. He purchased Tonawanda Tank Transport in Buffalo, NY by 1985 and expanded the company to Cincinnati, OH and was permitted in 42 states, in 1994 he created Tonawanda Environmental Co. to assist his transportation clients with their waste disposal. Tom sold his companies in 2020 to Chemtron Chemical in Ohio after 36 years of ownership and he and Barbara retired in Lewiston, NY. A Memorial Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM. on THURDAY (Sept. 21) at St. Peter's RC Church 600 Center St. Lewiston, Ny 14092.     LEWISTON - (Lewiston) - Thomas A. Napier, age 89, of Lewiston, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at his residence, under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice, after a lengthy illness.

    Tom was born February 17, 1921, in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Andrew and Anne (Mullrine) Napier. He attended local schools and was a 1939 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. Tom enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1942 and served in the Pacific Theatre. He was honorably discharged in 1946 with the rank of Sergeant. After his discharge he began working as an Assistant Cashier at E.I. DuPont in Niagara Falls, a position he held until 1961. He married Dorothy E. (VandenBosch) on May 10, 1947, and they moved to Lewiston in 1952.

    Tom served as Postmaster of the U.S. Post Office in Lewiston, retiring after 25 years. He had also served as a Trustee on the Lewiston Village Board in the 1950’s. After his retirement he and Dorothy wintered in Punta Gorda, FL for 20 years.

    Tom was a communicant of St. Peter’s RC Church in Lewiston. He served there as head usher, a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Holy Name Society, and worked for the Catholic Charities Appeal. As a young man, Tom played semi-pro baseball and was selected into the Niagara Falls Sportsman Hall of Fame in 2005. He was a member and former Governor of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #584 in Lewiston; a member of the American Legion Post #1083 in Lewiston; the V.F.W. Down River Post #7487 in Lewiston; the Lewiston Queenston Rotary; the Lions Club of Youngstown; and a member of the Umpires Association. An avid golfer, he was also a member of the Queenston Golf Club in Queenston, Ontario.

    He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy; his children, Thomas P. (Elizabeth) Napier and Joan (Kim) Quarantillo, both of Lewiston, Judith (Bryan Aaker) Napier of Minneapolis, MN, and Timothy (Charlotte) Napier of Lewiston; his grandchildren, Patricia (Dennis) Sweatman, Katherine, Julie and Kelly Quarantillo, Andrew, Jessica and Lukas Napier; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Carly Sweatman; several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Jim Napier; and a sister, Mary Watts.

    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 26 at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Sebastian C. Pierro officiating. (Please assemble at church.) Burial with Military Honors will follow in Dickersonville Cemetery, Ridge Rd., Lewiston.     Dorothy E. Napier (Nee VanDenBosch), age 95, of Lewiston, wife of the Thomas A. Napier died Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Our Lady of Peace NCR in Lewiston, NY. Dorothy was born on January 15, 1926, in Niagara Falls, NY. She is the daughter of the late Victor J. and the late Violet C. (Armstrong) VanDenBosch. She married Thomas A. Napier on May 10, 1947, he predeceased her on June 22, 2010. She was employed by Niagara University as a Library Clerk. Dorothy was a charter member of the Ladies of the Moose #1940 in Lewiston, the Lower River V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, the Lewiston Democratic Committee, Lewiston Historical commission, and Assoc., the Elks Punta Gorda Lodge #2606, she was an avid reader, loved gardening, traveling, antique collecting, and enjoyed dancing.Dot loved her church and was a devote Catholic. She was an active member in St. Peters Church over the years including a member of the building committee that worked to raise money to build the school and the church. She was also a member of the Alter and Rosary society. Dot was born and raised in Lewiston. She graduated from Lewiston Porter School and during WWII moved to Washington DC where she worked in defense department writing letters to families of missing and deceased soldiers. Dot moved back to Lewiston and began work at DuPont where she met her husband Tom. She is survived by two daughters; Judith Napier (Bryan Aaker) of Minneapolis, MN, Joan (Kim) Quarantillo of Lewiston, NY and two sons; Thomas P. Napier of Lewiston, NY, and Timothy Napier of Lewiston, NY also surviving are her grandchildren, Katie Robare, Patricia (Dennis) Sweatman, Kelly Strickland (Brian) and Julie Quarantillo, Jyssica, and Lukas Napier; her seven great grandchildren Taylor and Carly Sweatman, Maddalyn and Cooper Robare, Julian Strickland, Kolton Reimer and Maya Ndjarakana, her brother Laurence (Susan) VanDenBosch and several nieces and nephews.Dorothy is predeceased by her siblings Allan (late Ruth), Paul, Jack (late Dolores) and William VanDenBosch also Norma (late Ivan) Harvey, Joan (late Joel) Dougherty and Janine (late Ernie) Murdoch, also a grandson Andrew Napier.A special thanks to Melissa, Jackie, Robin, and Michelle at OLP that took such great care of Dot (Ma) over the years.
