    Notes:

    Robert “Dave” Smith, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Bonice (Wilder) Smith and the late Clarence Smith.
    Dave, as he was known by to his family and friends, graduated from the former LaSalle High School in 1968 and received his Associate’s Degree from Niagara County Community College. On October 9, 1971, he married his loving wife, Barbara (Walker) Smith, at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Niagara Falls.
    Dave began working at the former Twin Fair as a grocery manager for 10 years; and was later employed as a Chemical Operator at DuPont for many years prior to his retirement in 2003. 
    Dave's happiest times were spent with his children and grandchildren, who he loved dearly and were his pride and joy.
    In addition to his wife of 45 years, Dave is survived by his children, Jennifer (David) Jackson, Amy (Brian) Burkestone and Laura Smith; grandchildren, Hannah U.S. Navy (Steven) Rick, Samuel Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Marissa Jackson, Connor Burkestone, Alivia Burkestone and Aubrey Santangelo. He is also survived by his brother, Clarence “Donald” (Debra) Smith, as well as many brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by one brother, William Richard “Dick” (Holly) Smith.
    Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1st from 2 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.

    the setting Saturday, (Oct. 9,
    1971) for the 4 p.m. double-ring
    ceremony uniting Barbara
    Elaine Walker and Robert
    David Smith in marriage. The
    Rev. Kenneth E. Taxler officiated.
    The bride is the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A.
    Walker Sr., 426 101st St., and
    the bridegroom is the son of
    Mr. and Mrs. Clarence R.
    Smith, 8219 Krull'Pkwy.
    Given in marriage by her
    father, the bride wore a floor
    length gown of gardenia white
    silk organza and Venise lace.
    The gown has styled with a
    mandarin collar and empire
    bodice accented with lace
    motifs. Long tapered sleeves
    edged with lace and lace trim
    on the A-line skirt and chapel
    length train were featured. A
    matching camelot headpiece
    secured her elbow length veil
    and she carried a cluster of
    shasta daisies with accents of
    green.
    MRS. WILLIAM SWANSON,
    sister of the bride, was matron
    of honor. She wore a pink crepe
    gown with scooped neckline,
    rose velvet ribbon on the
    bodice and sleeves and a
    matching velvet choker. She
    wore a velvet bow in her hair
    and carried a cascade of
    daisies.
    The bridesmaids, Mrs.
    Douglas Keil, sister of the
    bride, Mrs. Clarence Walker
    Jr., Miss Debbie Anderson,
    Mrs. Douglas Ferry were
    similarly gowned in aqua, mint
    green, plum and lavender. Lisa
    Jean Walker, sister of the
    bride, was flower girl and wore
    a yellow gown with gold velvet
    trim.
    William Swanson was best;
    man. Ushers were Douglas.
    Keil, Clarence Walker Jr.,
    brother of the bride, Donald
    Smith, brother of the
    bridegroom and Douglas
    Ferry. Donald Walker, brother
    of the bride was ring-bearer.
    An evening reception was
    held at the Frontier Fire Hall.
    On their return from a motor
    trip to the New England States
    the couple will reside in this
    city.

    Bonice (Wilder) Smith, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Red Level, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Clara (Adams) Wilder.  Bonice was predeceased by her husband Clarence R. Smith.   
    Bonice centered her life around family. She enjoyed family functions, especially time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed crocheting.
    Mother of Clarence Donald (Debra) Smith and the late Robert (Barbara of NF) Smith and William R. Smith;  grandmother of Jennifer Jackson, Amy (Brian) Burkestone, Laura Smith, Christopher Smith, Kimberly (John) Trunzo, Stacey (Jeff Basden) Smith and Ashley Smith; sister of the late Lewis (Tess) Wilder, late J.C (Wanda) Wilder, late Annie Maud (James) Aughman ,late Mary (Frank) Guinn ,late Ruby (Joe) Faucheux,  late Faye (Arnold) Aycock and late Jean (Ray) Tate; sister-in-law of  Abby (Farell) Langston, Audrey (Joe) Carlisle, Ray “Buddy” (June) Smith, Glenda (Kent) Bowers, Etheridge (Sandra) Smith and the late Era Soloman and Hugh Smith.  Bonice is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 
    Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.  Burial will be in Goodhope Cemetery, Andalusia, Alabama.   In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY.
