    Of North Tonawanda passed away peacefully at Kenmore Mercy Hospital on May 22, 2024. Husband of the late Gladys (nee Wollenburg) Tetter and loving father of David (Lilian) Tetter of Auckland, NZ and Lisa (John) Rivera of Wheatfield. Proud grandfather of Alexandra Tetter, Gabrielle Tetter, Marissa Rivera and Victoria Rivera. Brother of the late Marie Marillo. George retired from the North Tonawanda School District where he taught German for 30 years. He was a former assistant coach of the North Tonawanda High School Football Team and was the oldest living member of the North Tonawanda Hall of Fame. George was a graduate of the North Tonawanda Class of 1948 where he was co-captain of their championship football team. He graduated from and played football for Colgate University. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing and traveling to New Zealand to spend time with his son. George was a long standing member of St. Martins Lutheran Church, where he would sometimes give sermons in German. George was a U.S. Navy Veteran and loved and respected by all who knew him, he will be greatly missed. Friends are invited on June 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. to the Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Church Road, Corfu, NY for interment with Military Honors. Arrangements by Brunner Funeral Home.

    84, of North Tonawanda, on Saturday, July 29, 2017, after a long illness. Beloved wife of George B. Tetter. Loving mother of David (Lilian) Tetter of New Zealand and Lisa (John) Rivera of Rochester. Proud grandmother of Alexandra and Gabrielle Tetter and Marissa and Victoria Rivera. Sister of the late Arnold, Jr. and Bernice Weinheimer. Gladys was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. No prior visitation.

    became the bride of George
    B. Tetter, son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Henry Gagnon, 140
    Bryant St., in a ceremony
    performed by t h e Rev.
    Luther Knauff in St. Martin's
    Luthearn Church,
    North Tonawanda.
    Altar flowers were white chrysi
    anthemums and pompons mixed
    with green foliage for the June 4
    ceremony. The c h a n c e l was
    adorned with palms flanking the
    altar and white satin ribbons in
    marked family pews.
    The bride wore a gown of white
    rosepoint Chantilly lace over tiers
    of tulle with a portrait neckline,
    outlined with sequins and s e ed
    pearls, long sleeves and a bouffant
    skirt enhanced with scalloped
    lace which extended into a chapel
    train. The fingertip veil of French
    illusion was attached to a lace
    tiara of seed pearls. The b r i de
    wore pearls and earrings, the gift
    of the bridegroom, and carried a
    lace-covered Bible adorned with
    white orchids and stephanotis.

    Mrs. Everett Weinheimer, her sister,
    Mrs. Christy Marillo, Mrs.
    Richard Joseph, Mrs. Edward
    Rarick, the bridesmaids and Mary
    Pachla, the flower girl.
    The matron of honor wore a
    white organza dress styled with a
    portrait neckline, bouffant skirt
    and pink silk cummerbund extending
    into a back panel. Her
    headpiece of pink silk petals and
    seed pearls had a circular veil and
    she wore shoes of matching color.
    She carried a cascade bouquet of
    dark pink Sweetheart roses and
    light pink carnations entwined
    with aqua ribbdn. The bridesmaids'
    gowns^were the same design
    with cunimerbunds of aqua
    silk and matcHmg headpieces and
    shoes. They carried pink Sweetheart
    roses and pale pink carnations
    entwined with pink ribbons.
    The flower girl wore a white
    silk, organza frock styled with a
    round neckline and bouffant skirt
    with an aqua silk cummerbund
    and large bow. Her headpiece of
    white roses formed a crown with
    white ribbons and she carried a
    basket filled with pink snapdragons,
    white larkspur and ivy.
    Attendants for the bridegroom
    were Warren G. Buchhardt, best
    man; James R. Cowles, Vincent
    E. Mendel and Thomas F. Berhalter,
    ushers and Bruce E. Weinheimer,
    the bride's nephew, ring
    bearer.
    The bride's mother wore a dress
    of rose Chantilly lace and a hat
    of silk rose illusion. Her corsage
    was of pale pink Sweetheart roses
    and white carnations. The'bride-
    groom's mother wore a beige linen
    sheath with matching jacket
    with a beige silk hat and matching
    accessories. Her corsage was
    of yellow tea roses.
    A wedding supper for the bridal
    party and immediate families and
    a reception were given in Delaware
    Hotel. The bride's table was
    centered with jonquils and a ruby
    crystal wedding bowl and matching
    candelabra. Miniature bridal
    figurines and fern encircled t h e
    wedding cake.
    After a wedding trip to Cape
    Cod, Mass. and New England
    States, Mr. and Mrs. Tetter are
    at home in 870 East Robinson St.
    Shower hostesses were Mrs. Everett
    Weinheimer, Mrs. Amanda
    McManamin, Mrs. Gagnon, Mrs.
    Marillo, Mrs. Joseph arnd Mrs.
    Rarick. The bride's parents entertained
    at a rehearsal party.

    of Miss Ella Mante, daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mante, of Niagara
    St, to William Wollenberg, of
    Martinsville, was solemnized last
    Wednesday evening at the parsonage,
    the Rev. J. Kuchenbecker officiating.
    Edwin Mante the bride's brother, and
