    Notes:

    Michael Udut, longtime area resident, passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2017 while on vacation in Alaska.  He was 81.  He was born in Niagara Falls on December 31, 1935, a son of the late Michael and Sylvia (Yacus) Udut.  He attended local schools and then served in the United States Army for 2 years until his honorable discharge.  He graduated from Erie County Community College as a Metallurgist and went to work for TAM Ceramics as a Lab Technician and Maintenance Supervisor retiring in 1996 after 37 years of service.  Michael married Elizabeth “Beth” Boyce in 1960 at the former Forest Avenue Church of God and they remained happily married for 57 years until his passing.
    Mr. Udut was a longtime member of Forestview Church of God and he enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing, playing golfing (especially at Hyde Park), carpentry, cooking, and loved taking care of wildlife in his backyard.
    In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by four children: Wendy Genova of Grand Island, Keith Udut and Kevin (Faye) Udut of Youngstown and Lisa (Geoff) Fillingham of St. Catharines, Ontario.  He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Bianca Fildes (Matthew) of Kenmore, Anthony Genova (Sabrina) of Friendsville, Tennessee, Chelsea (Zachary) Smith of Las Vegas and Kendra and Laura Fillingham of St. Catharines, and three great-grandchildren: Dominic, Jaxon and Tiffany.  Survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is predeceased by his brother Thomas (Olga) in 1963.
    Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.  Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 11 A.M. at Forestview Church of God, 1250 Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Falls, New York 14304.

    Mrs. Marine Celine Boyce, 41, of
    1732 Elmwood avenue, died last
    night in Memorial hospital.
    Born in Tweed. Ont., she had re
    sided in this city for 27 years.
    She is survived by her husband
    Stanley A.; a son, Ronald, two
    daughters, Beth and Lillian and
    two brothers, Charles Edmund and
    Felix J. Langevin, all of this city.
    The Rev. Daniel Schemmer
    Church of God, will officiate at
    funeral services at the Beattie
    Funeral home, 1001 Ontario avenue,
    at 2 p.m Monday and interment
    will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

    Struck by a taxlcab as he was crossing
    Niagara street at Ninth street
    Saturday night, William Boyce, 67
    years old, 908 Ferry avenue, died an \ slain,
    hour later in Memorial hospital. Police
    said that the taxlcab was driven
    by Edward Karaska, 523 Nineteenth
    street.
    Karaska made a statement to Coroner
    W. L. Draper in which he said
    that another automobile was preceding
    his taxlcab out Niagara street
    and that after the other car passed
    the intersection Boyce stepped from
    the curb and started to cross the
    street directly In front of the taxicab.
    Karaska said that he was unable
    to stop his cab in time to avoid hitting
    the man.
    Coroner Draper said that Boyce apparently
    died from injuries of the
    brain caused by the accident.
    Mr. Boyce, a native of Scotland,
    had lived in this city for the past 30
    years. He was employed as a retail
    salesman by the J. B. Simpson company,
    of Chicago.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
    Elizabeth Boyce; four sons, James,
    Stanley, Douglas and Ernest Boyce.
    and three daughters, Gertrude ahd
    Irene Boyce and Mrs. David Watson,
    all of this city. A brother and sister,
    Robert Boyce and Mrs. Donald James,
    of Edinburgh, Scotland, also survive.
    Funeral services will be held at 908
    Ferry avenue at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow,
    with the Rev. Marcel R. Desgaller
    officiating. Burial will be in Memorial
    Park cemetery.
