Mrs. ANNA WASHLESKE
Mrs. Anna WASHLESKE, 58 years old, wife of Charles WASHLESKE, died this morning at her home, 58 Keil street, after a lingering illness. She had been a resident of the Tonawanda for the past 57 years. Surviving are four daughters, the Misses Adeline, Alivia, Myra and Bernice WASHLESKE; a sister, Mrs. William KARKAU, and a brother, Charles Salerske [ SALEFSKE], all of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence. Rev. Adolph E. Baltzer of Rochester will conduct the services.

Anna married WASHLESKE, Charles about 1897. Charles (son of WASHLESKE, Christian and GOLEM, Justina) was born on 24 Jan 1872 in West Prussia, Germany; died on 16 Aug 1948 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

3. WASHLESKE, Myra was born on 28 Jul 1908 in New York; died on 19 Oct 1987 in Buffalo, Erie County, NY.
4. WASHLESKE, Bernice Ann was born on 25 Feb 1913 in New York; died on 16 Aug 1994 in San Joaquin, CA.

MRS. EVA SALEFSKI
Mrs. Eva SALEFSKI, 76 year old, widow of the late Godfrey Salefski, one of the pioneer residents of North Tonawanda, died, at the home of her daughters, Mrs. William KARKAU, at No. 90 Keil street, Monday morning after a bried illness with typhoid fever. She was born in Germany and came here when a child. Two daughters, Mrs. KARKAU and Mrs. Charles WASLEFSKI, one son Charles SALEFSKI, one sister Mrs. Godfrey GUST and two brothers Godfried and Jacob KOLPACK, all of North Tonawanda survive. The funeral will be held from the Karkau home on Keil street at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternnon, and a half hour later from the Salem Church on Morgan street. The Rev. Hans Horney officiating. Burial will be in Salem cemetery.
