    WENTZEL, LORNA JEAN (HASELEY) Of Grand Blanc, age 73, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to meet Jesus on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan. Lorna was born in Niagara Falls, New York on March 28, 1944, the daughter of Wallace and Cordia (Stoelting) Haseley, the second of six children. Lorna was a loving and devoted wife and her husband's best friend and confidant. She encouraged family and friends as a selfless guide and mentor. She was born with the heart of a farmer's daughter, loved the soil and was an excellent gardener. Lorna's yard and the surrounding area radiated her love for plants and flowers which she faithfully cultivated and nurtured. She will be sorely missed by the many whose lives she touched with her generosity and laughing spirit. Lorna fought valiantly against a disease that eventually consumed her body, but never consumed her love for her family and friends, nor her deep faith in the Lord Jesus. Lorna is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Wentzel; five children and eleven grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by son, Michael, his wife Anne, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and their children Aaron, Katrina, Adin and Elise; daughter Jennifer Nguyen, her husband Khoa, of Savannah, Georgia, and their children, Luke, Elijah and Ryder; son Mark, his wife JenMarie, of Atlanta, Georgia, and their children Auguste and Eero; daughter Emily Craw, her husband Anthony, of Grand Blanc and their children Julian and Benjamin; and son Daniel of Seattle, Washington. Lorna is also survived by sister Marlene Langhart and her husband Bernie; brother Roger and his wife Linda; brother Willard and his wife Sherry; brother Wilfred and his wife Sharon; sister Florine Wilkins and her husband Karl. Lorna was preceded in death by her parents. Lorna's joy in Christ will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church, 12534 Holly Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Todd Biermann officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 1-8pm Sunday and Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10 am Tuesday at church until the time of the service.     Haseley, Wallace P.
    Wallace P. Haseley, age 97, of Bergholz, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 after extended Hospice care, at his residence. Born in the Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY on August 3, 1910 to the late Albert and Anna (Ferchen) Haseley. He attended St. Peter's Lutheran School and the former Sanborn School. Wallace was employed as a millwright at General Abrasives for forty years, retiring in 1975. He was an active member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, were he served as a former financial secretary, was involved with the building of both the church and school, and was a grounds keeper at Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. He enjoyed gardening, watching sports, was a mechanical repairman and all around handyman, who always enjoyed his family and especially his grandchildren. Survivors include six children: Marlene (Bernhard) Langhart of Long Island, Lorna (Wayne) Wentzel of Michigan, Roger W. (Linda) Haseley, Willard (Sherry) Haseley, Wilfred (Sharon) Haseley all three of Bergholz, and Florine (Karl) Wilkins of Maine; 6 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren;a brother, Marcus (Lizzie) Haseley of the Town of Lewiston; sister, Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield; three sisters in law: Gladys Haseley, Althea Haseley and Mathilda Stoelting; and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Cordia (Stoelting) Haseley on October 19, 1940;five brothers: Norman, William, Richard, Benjamin and Albert Haseley; and a sister, Esther Beutel. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach on Friday at 10:30 A.M. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street. Interment in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church- Organ Fund.

    Cordia Haseley Was lifelong resident of Bergholz
    BERGHOLZ - Cordia (Stoelting) Haseley, of Stoelting Street, died Thursday (May 14, 1987) at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. She was 70. She was born at her homestead in Bergholz and was a lifelong resident of the hamlet. Mrs. Haseley enjoyed baking and decorating special cakes for the community. She was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Survivors include her husband, Wallace Haseley; sons, Roger, Willard and Wilfred Haseley, all of Bergholz; daughters, Marlene Langhart of Long Island, N.Y., Lorna Wentzel of Michigan and Florine Wilkins of Maine; a brother, Arthur Stoelting of Bergholz; 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Erwin Stoelting and Lorina Milleville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road. The Rev. Stephen P. Roehrs will conduct services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Luther Street and Niagara Road. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. Contributions to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church or to Lutheran Bible Translators are acceptable as tribute.

    BERGHOLTZ — Cordla Stoeltlng,
    whose marriage to Wallace Haseley
    takes place October 19. was guest
    of honor at a bedroom and variety
    shower given by Lydia Haseley at
    her home in Sanborn.
    A delicious lunch was served at a
    late hour from a table centered with
    a lovely bouquet of flowers. A wed-
    ding bell and streamers served as a
    canopy over the table, the ends of
    the streamers terminating at bou-
    quets fo flowers on the table. Dainty
    place cards marked the place of
    each guest.
