    Jacqueline ‘Susie’ Anderson, 78, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on December 6, 2017.  Born in North Tonawanda, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Proefrock) Britton.
    Susie attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1956. She worked during the 1960’s in the circulation department at the Niagara Gazette and later was employed with Seager & Son Plumbing as their office manager from 1970 - 2005.
    She was a lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara where she was named the Sesquicentennial Queen in 1962.  Susie was an active member of the Hope Lutheran Ladies Guild and served as their president for many years.  Susie enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.  Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
    She is survived by three daughters, Lynn (Collins) Beach (Glenn), Lori (Anderson) Strasburg (Bob Corsaro) and Leslie (Anderson) Yates (Rauf Yates), six grandchildren, Tyler Beach, Tara Beach, Nicole Corsaro, Devon Strasburg, Adrianna Corsaro and Gavin Yates, four siblings, Barbara (Nelson) Dockstader, Robert (Kathleen) Britton, James (Connie) Britton and Lawrence Britton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.  Services will be held on Monday December 11th at 10 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, 763 Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice Inc.  Visit www.mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online register.

    his home after a lengthy illness.
    He was a former peace justice,
    having served Town of
    Niagara in that capacity for
    18 years.

    Mrs. Rose K. Proefrock
    Mrs. Rose K. Proefrock, 52, died this morning at the home of her son,
    Wallace, 170 Community drive. A life-long resident of North Tonawanda, she
    was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran church and the Ladies' Aid Society
    of the church. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. John Britton of Niagara Falls;
    three sons, Wallace and Herbert of North Tonawanda and Warren, serving with
    the U. S. Army overseas; six grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Anna Kaufmann
    of Chicago; Mrs. John Lemke, Mrs. Edward Buike and Mrs. William Boddy, and a
    brother, Ernest Karre, North Tonawanda. Rites will be held Friday afternoon
    at 2 o'clock from 54 Allen street and at 2:30 o'clock from the St. Mark's
    church. The Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate. Burial will be in Elmlawn.
