Notes:

Nicholas J. Sansalone, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at his residence on January 17, 2018.  Born in Agnana, Reggio Calabria, Italy, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Mary Carmella (Arrigo) Sansalone, Sr. Nicholas came to Niagara Falls with his family in the mid-1930’s and graduated from Niagara Falls High School and Trott Vocational.  He served in the United States Army during World War II.  On July 1, 1951, he married Marie (Vicari) Sansalone.  Nick started his work career with Carborundum in the mid-1950’s.  He owned and operated Nicks Atlantic Auto Shop on Niagara Street and Memorial Parkway and later Nick’s Arco and Nick’s Sunoco on Pine Avenue and 10th Street from the 1950’s through the 1990’s.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 66 years, Nick is survived by his children Joseph Sansalone (Janice Meiler), Chris M. (Tim) Bax, Theresa A. (Lenny) Privitera, Nick (Linda) Sansalone, and Anthony (Darlene) Sansalone; his grandchildren, Michael Sansalone, Nicolas Sansalone, JoMarie Sansalone, Timothy (Kara) Bax, Jesse Bax, Savannah (Paul) Getty, Caitlin Sansalone, Jenna Sansalone, Danielle (Travis) Kimble, and Stephanie Sansalone; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Charity, Carson, and Aurora; his siblings, Rose Marie (late Thornton) Haag, Inez (late Thomas) Truesdale, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by a great grandson, Landon, and two siblings, Joseph J. Sansalone, Jr., and late Frances (late Vincent) Matarrese. 
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 22nd from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where services will follow 8 P.M. concluding with Military Honors. Entombment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
