    Miss Marcia Ann Waldmann was the eighth bride to carry the 57 year-old Prayer Book, belonging to her maternal grandmother, Mrs Gertrude Wilhelm, when the became the bride of Burt W. Manning Jr., Wednesday, Dec. 28. at St. Mary's Church. The white Ivory Prayer Book was covered with lace and topped by a cascade of eight Phalaenopsis orchids. The Nuptial Mass was celebrated at 10 o'clock with the Rev Aloysius Kelsch, SS, and the Rev Edward J. Simons, OSFS. present m the sanctuary. The Rev. Noel Schreck officiated at the ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul John Waldmann of 217 High St.. and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Manning of 40 Nelson St., Auburn. Guests entering the church were presented with individual Nuptial Mass Prayer Books engraved with the names of the bride and groom and the wedding date. Carol Rieger, cousin of the bride, and June Manning, sister of the groom. passed out the mementos.
    Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white Italian velvet featuring a scoop neckline appliqued with sequin embroidered Alencon lace, a fitted bodice and long pointed sleeves. The appliques at the waist accented the bouffant skirt which fell over a six-tiered hoop into a sweep chapel train. Her tiered French illusion veil was held by a pillbox of matching lace, velvet petals and sequins. The pearl necklace worn by the bride was the gift of the groom and her pearl earrings a gift of her parents. She wore a white ermine cape over her gown.
    Miss Joan Renee Waldmann was her sister's maid of honor in a floor-length gown of dubonnet velveteen. The bridesmaids, Miss Joanne Blaha and Miss Frances Foltz, wore similar gowns in emerald green velveteen. Rita Denise Waldmann, sister of the bride, was flower girl wearing a gown of dubonnet velveteen. Each attendant wore a headpiece to match her gown and carried a matching muff with a white poinsetta.
    William Manning of Auburn was his brother's best man and ushering duties were performed by John Clark and John Cull.

A dress of Dior blue lace over taffeta was chosen by Mrs. Waldmann for her daughter's wedding, with a matching shirred velvet hat, gun metal shoes and purse and white doeskin gloves. Mrs. Manning favored a dress of cocoa brown taffeta with dark brown accessories and white velvet hat. Each wore a corsage of pink camellias.
    Mrs. Wilhelm wore Dior blue tucked taffeta and white accessories and Mrs. Alta Manning, the groom's grandmother wore black accessories with a savy print dress. Each wore a corsage of red garnet roses centered by a white camellia.
    Following the Mass, breakfast was served to 18 at the American Legion on Niagara Street. The bride's table was decorated with a centerpiece of red and white carnations. At the head table, small candles burned on either side of a bridal Logengrin pillar wedding candle.
    At the evening reception, also held at the Legion Hall, the bride's table was decorated with Christmas roping tied at intervals with white wedding bells. In the center was a four-tiered wedding cake. Palms and a a Christmas tree were placed at either end, and decorated the hall. Those serving were the Misses Jean Criswell and Marsha Kress and Mrs. Joleen Brewer. A buffet luncheon was served to approximately 400. Music was furnished by Bob Foster's Trio.
    When the couple left for a wedding trip to Toronto, the bride wore a charcoal brown wool suit, red velvet hat and gloves. Brown shoes and purse and a mouton iamb jacket completed her ensemble. Her corsage was four white Phalaenopsis orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Manning will reside at 6005 Calmont Ave.. Fort Worth. Texas, were Mr. Manning is employed.
    Out-of-town guests were from Buffalo. Niagara Falls, Auburn, Gasport. Medina and Tonawanda. The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and the groom of Amarillo (Texas) High School. Pre-nuptial parties included a dinner and personal shower at Luigi's in Niagara Falls given by employes at Bell Aircraft at which Miss Bonnie Leach and Mrs. Patricia Berth were hostesses. Two variety showers were given by Mrs. Eileen Rieger and Mrs. Helen Bartenstein, godmother and aunt of the bride, respectively, and Miss Blaha and Miss Foltz.
