    Notes:

    Gina M. (Razzani) Rinker, 32, of the Town of Niagara, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, following a courageous and lengthy battle with a very rare cancer.  Born on May 5, 1986 in Kenmore, NY, she was the daughter of Louis and Linda (Vorpahl) Razzani.
    Gina grew up in Wheatfield and graduated in 2004 from Niagara Wheatfield High School.  She formerly worked as a dog groomer at Love Your Dog and was currently the owner of Cloud K9 Dog Grooming. Gina will be sorely missed by her dedicated clients. She loved all animals, especially her dogs, Ziggy, Juicy and Cookie. Gina also enjoyed music and traveling.
    In addition to her parents, Gina is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mitchell Rinker; sisters, Kali, Taylor and Madison Razzani; niece, Eliana; nephew, Alexander; grandparents, Pauline Pucak and Robert (Pat) Hosie; mother and father-in-law, Paulette (Dan Hosie) Rinker; father-in-law, David (Sue) Rinker and several aunts, uncles and cousins. 
    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the ICU and 5th floor at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital as well as the compassionate care given by Niagara Hospice. 
    Visitation will be on Thursday, June 28th, from 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, where closing prayers will be offered at 8:00 p.m.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Mount St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation for Respiratory Care.

She was born on December 4th, 1925 and was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Niethe, Mildred Newell, and Charlotte Strojnowski; children, Donald C. Vorpahl (Paula), Rosemary Cadro (Fred Dyttmer), and Linda J. Razzani (Louis); grandchildren, Derek A. Addison (Andrea), Steven K. Krzeminski, Kali J. Cuellar (Cesar), Ashley L. Eldridge (Connor), Gina M. Rinker (Mitchell), Sarah A. M. Vorpahl (Keith Bogdan), Taylor D. Razzani, and Madison L. Razzani; and great-grandchildren, Lucas, Eliana, Alexander, and Ryann. Betty is predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Meta (Lueders) Behrns; her husband, Melvin C. Vorpahl; and her siblings, Donald Behrns, Ruth Thom, and Arthur Behrns. When her husband passed away in 1971, she gave her all to her children. Her hard work, love, dedication, and even stubbornness will forever be instilled in her entire family. Betty was a devoted Yankees fan even through the recent years and would always attend her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was devoted to her family and friends, and everyone she touched felt blessed to know her. Betty had a sharp mind, caring personality and an unending amount of stories and topics to talk about that made every visit with her unique. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Per Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation, a private family service will be held and interment will be in Acacia Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice. Guest register available at frettholdfuneralhome.

    The marriage of Miss Betty
    Jane Behrns, daughter of Mr. and
    Mit Clarence Behrns of 137
    Jackson Ave. and Melvin Vorpahl,
    son of Mrs. Ella Vorpahl of
    198 Robinson St. was solemnized
    Feb. II in a candlelight service
    at the Third Presbyterian Church.
    Rev. William H. Saye officiated
    at a double ring ceremony. Mrs.
    Blanche Janke sang "Because"
    and "The Lord's Prayer".
    The bride wore a gown of
    white brocaded satin fashioned
    with sweetheart neckline, long

    fitted sleeves and a full skirt
    with lace^peplum and train. The
    front panel of the skirt was ornamented
    with rhinestones. A cap
    of brocaded satin held her finger-
    tip veil and she carried an
    arm bouquet of white roses.
    Miss Mildred Behrns, sister of
    the bride and maid of honor,
    wore a gown of lavender taffeta
    with a lac* bertha and short
    sleeves. A matching cap and long
    gloves of lavender taffeta completed
    her ensemble and she carried
    yellow roses.
    The Misses Shirley Tuttle and
    Shirley Haak, bridesmaids, wore
    gowns of lime green and yellow
    taffeta fashioned alike. They wore
    gloves and headpieces to match
    their gowns. Miss Tuttle carried
    talisman roses and Miss Haak's
    bouquet was of red roses.
    Carlton Vorpahl attended his
    brother as best man and the ushers
    were Arthur Behrns and
    Sherwood Tremble.
    The brides mother wore a pale
    blue crepe dress trimmed with
    black and black accessories. The
    groom's mother favored a brown
    dress and brown accessories. Both
    wore corsages of red roses and
    gardenias.
    A reception for 250 guests followed
    the wedding at Ukranian
    HalL Buffet refreshments were
    served from a table decorated
    with white flowers and centered
    with a wedding cake.
    The couple motored to Syracuse
    for their wedding trip and
    are now living at 198 Robinson

    of 979 Walck Road, North Tonawanda,
    wiH be feted tomorrow
    in honor of their Golden Wedding
    anniversary.
    They will be entertained by
    their children at a party in the
    Adams Fire Hall, Nash Road.
    Relatives from Rochester, Syracuse
    and Courtland, Mich., will
    attend.
    The former Miss Matie Lueders
    and Mr. Behrns were married
    Sept. 12, 1917, in St. Paul
    Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda.
    They have lived here all
    their lives, and are members of
    Third Presbyterian Church.
    "Hook" Behrns, as he is
    known in bowling circles, enjoys
    sports. In his early years he
    played baseball and football,,
    and in recent years concentrat-
    ed on bowling. Another hobby is
    caring for his vegetable garden
    from which he supplies a variety
    of fresh foods for his family.
    Mr. Behrns, who retired eight
    years ago, was employed at var-
    ious period by American Dis-
    trict Steam, Twin City Dairy and
    as custodian at Wurlitzer School.
    Mrs. Behrns, a member of the
    church Guild, enjoys crocheting
    abnd sewing. she and her hus-
    band have seven children, 22
    grandchildren, and four great-
    grandchildren.
