Ray (Smokey) A. Rinker, Jr., of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 13, 2018, surrounded by his family.
Born December 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Ray and Ethel (Metcalf) Rinker.
He was predeceased by his wife (Nan) of 36 years and his beloved pet, Bristol. Cherished father of Danny (Carrie) Rinker, Richard (Donna) Rinker, Theodore Jeffords, Terry Lynn (Richard) Kwiatkowski and Scott (Kris) Jeffords. Grandfather of Mike Barber, Gary Barber, Matthew Vaughan, Jonathan Rinker, Amber Jeffords, Dakota Jeffords and the late Wyatt Jeffords. Brother of Barbara (Jim) Jones, Dale (Marianne) Rinker and Johnny Ray (Linda) Rinker. Also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ray attended Gaskill, Niagara Falls High School and retired from Harrison Radiator after 30 years of service.
Ray enjoyed hunting, traveling, Nascar races and playing video poker.

MISS BEVERLY JANE OAKES, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Oakes of North
Avenue, was married to Ray Allen Rinker
Jr. Saturday (June 22. 1963) in a doublering
ceremony at First Presbyterian Church.
Rev. John B. Toay read the service. The
bridegroom is the son of Mr. arid Mrs. Ray
A. Rinker Sr. of 39th Street.

THE BRIDE wore a nylon organza over
taffeta floor-length gown designed with a
pearl and lace bodice. A handmade floorlength
veil of nylon tulle was secured by a
cala lily and pearl tiara. She carried a
bouquet of cymbidiums centered with white
orchids. Miss Oakes was given in marriage
by her father.
Miss Peggy Oakes attended, her sister as
maid of honor. She was attired in a pink
orchid and plum taffeta floor-length gown.
A matching petal headpiece held her bubble
veil and she carried-a cascade of lavender
carnations.
Miss Joanne Weisflog and Miss Peggy
Curtis attended the bride wearing similar
gowns in gold with yellow trim.
Miss Claudia Oakes attended her sister
as flower girl. Dean Belson was ringbearer.
Robert Rougeaux was best man. Dale
Rinker, brother of the bridegroom, and
Patrick Nowacki, cousin of the bridegroom,
were ushers.

AN EARLY EVENING reception was
held at the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club.
After a Pennsylvania and Maryland
honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Rinker will be at
heme at 2432 Woodlawn Ave.
