LEWISTON — Donald Edward Duerr, age 83, of North Tonawanda, peacefully, January 9, 2014 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. Donald was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a former employee of Columbus McKinnon, Valu Home Center and HSBC Bank. Donald was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Aero Club of Buffalo. He had an airplane pilot's license and he built and flew his own airplane. Donald enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family. He was the son of the late Arthur and Lonia (Hoffmeister) Duerr. Beloved husband of Marianne (Lovegrove) Duerr for over 54 years. Father of Laura (Robert) Jagow, Linda (John) Reuther, Robert Duerr, John (Marla) Duerr, Donna (Don) Klug, Debra (Chris) Fronczak, Dorene (Brian) Manchester and Darcie (Daniel) Seider. Grandfather of 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Brother of Richard (Jean) Duerr and Robert (Caroline) Duerr; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Marianne Duerr, (nee Lovegrove) age 83, of North Tonawanda, died peacefully, August 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as sewing, camping, ceramics and bingo. She was a former employee of Bedell's Candlelight Lounge, Dr. Robert Kohnke DDS, Joanne Fabrics and Sears. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Duerr who died in 2014. DUERR - Lonia H. Duerr, 75, of 28 Monroe St., North Tonawanda, Wednesday (June 27, 1973) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Duerr was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, the Ladies Guild of the church and the Valparaiso University Guild.
She is survived by her husband. Arthur F. Duerr; three sons. Richard D. (Jean) Duerr, Robert K. (Caroline) Duerr and Donald E. (Marianne) Duerr, all of North Tonawanda; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Benjamin, Edmund and Christian T. Hoffmeister, all of North Tonawanda. The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc.. 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Road, North Tonawanda. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. today and Friday. She was the wife of the late Orval Lovegrove, who died in 1973. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Shirley M. Phillips of the Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Donald (Marianne) Duerr of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Snedden of Grandview, Missouri; 21 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren; a sister, Olive Jean Campbell of North Tonawanda; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Muriel Deirdorf of Waterport, N.Y. and Mrs. Iva Lovegrove of North Tonawanda; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
