Louie G. Shaw, age 96, of the Town of Lockport, died Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Elderwood at Lockport. Born December 18, 1921 in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Beatrice Shaw and Louie Manthos and was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII. Louie was employed by Interstate United in Tonawanda until retiring in 1987. A resident of Lockport for more than 50 years, he was a member of Rapids Fire Company in Lockport.
He was the husband of Elsie (nee Graff) Shaw; father of Wayne (Debbie) Shaw and the late Jack R. Shaw, who died in 1983; and grandfather of Jack Shaw, Jr., Justin Shaw, Kimberly (Cory) Eddings, Jason (Mary) Shaw, Jarrick (Miranda) Shaw, and Jessica (Kristen) Shaw. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Wednesday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 7 PM Wednesday; the Rev. Timothy Shaw officiating. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to a charity of your choice are preferred by the family.
