    Age 90, of the Tonawandas, Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Wife of the late Lawrence “Larry”Bowman Jr.,  mother of Julie B. Walters, Mary-Jean (Mark Woodard) Bowman and the late William R. Bowman and mother in law of Carol (late William) Bowman;  grandmother of Nicholas Bowman, Gillian (David) Beliles, William (Amy) Bowman, Robert (Brandy) Walters, Meghan Walters, Christopher Woodard, Zachary Woodard and Shay Woodard; great-grandmother of Brayden, Coldin, Zander, Aubrie,  Jaxson and Kendall; daughter of the late Frank T. Jr. DDS and Thela B. (nee Granger) Czysz; sister of Kathleen (Charlie) Getman and the late Mary-Jean (late Donald) Yockey, Frank T. (late Lois) Czysz and Jaqueline B. Stevens. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, special niece Colleene Parodi; her dear friends Phyllis, Tinie, Jean, Betty, Diane and her loyal dog Scamper. Shirley was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School then received a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Michigan; later working at Allen-Mack, Fishers and CVS pharmacies in North Tonawanda and Rite Aid in Temecula, CA. She volunteered at DeGraff Hospital and was a member of the DeGraff Auxiliary. Shirley was a proud supporter of the NT Lumberjacks, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, L.A. Lakers, California Angels, Wagner College Football and St. John Fisher Football. M GO BLUE! The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 13 from 3-5 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC. 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda, followed by a Funeral Service at 5PM. Everyone welcome. A private interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.     27th St., Mirimar, Florida,,
    former resident of North Tona-
    wanda, died Thursday (Oct. 22,,
    197) in Hollywood General
    Hospital, Hollywood, Florida
    after a long illness.
    He was born in Germany,
    iving in North Tonawanda until
    going to Florida in 1954. Mr.
    Bowman was employed as
    superintendent of the George J.
    Meyer Malting Company for 38
    years, retiring in 1954.
    He was a member of the
    Ascension Church in North
    Tonawanda and St. Stephens
    Church, Hollywood, Florida.
    Survived by his wife, Barbara
    Herrmann Bowman; two
    sons, William J. of Oakridge.
    New Jersey and Lawrence
    Bowman Jr. of.North Tonawanda;
    three daughters, Mrs.
    Peter (Elizabeth) Kantor and
    Mrs. Jerome (Barbara)
    McCormick of the Tonawandas
    and Mrs. Hugh (Ann) Cramer of
    Mirimar, Florida; two
    brothers, Henry L. Bowman of
    North Tonawanda and Michael
    of Austria; three sisters, Mrs.
    Elizabeth Philf, Mrs. Joseph
    (Theresa) Breuer and Mrs.
    Dieter (Ann) Schutz, all of Niagara
    Falls, Ontario. Also 16
    grandchildren, five great-grandchildren,
    and several nieces and
    nephews.
    Friends may call at the Wattengel
    Funeral Home Inc., 307
    Oliver St., North Tonawanda,
    where prayers will be said at
    9 a.m. Tuesday, followed by
    a Requiem Mass at 9:30 a.m. in
    Ascension Church. Burial in Mt.
    Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of
    floweers, memorials may be
    made to the Ascension Build-
    ing Fund.

    prayer service for Dr. Frank
    T. Czysz, 72, of 318 Wheatfield
    St., *a. dentist, will be said
    Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the
    Wattengel Funeral Home.
    A Requiem Mass will be
    said at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis
    of Assisi Church, Tonawand

    Burial will be In Mount Olivet
    Cemetery.
    Dr. Czysz died Saturday
    (Sept. 25. 1971) at DeGraff
    Memorial Hospital where he
    had been a patient for 2!>2
    weeks.
    He had been in semi-retirement
    for eight weeks after a
    traffic accident.
    Born in Buffalo, January
    18,. 1899, he graduated from
    Dunkirk High School and cornpi
    e t e d his undergraduate
    studies at the University of
    Michigan, Ann Arbor, where
    he played on the varsity football
    team.
    He was a member of the
    Tonawanda's Post 264 American
    Legion, North Tonawanda
    Elks Lodge 860, University of
    •Michigan Club, Active Hose
    Co. and the Sth District Dental
    Society.
    He married the former
    Thela Granger and attended
    Michigan College, Ypsilanti in
    Charlotte, Mich, in 1921.
    He moved to this city in 1921
    opening his office on Oliver
    Street. He moved to the
    Wheatfield Street address 40
    years ago.
    In addition to his widow,
    he is survived by a son,
    Thomas Czysz of this city;
    four daughters, Mrs. Donald
    (MaryJean) Yockey of La-
    Habra, Calif., Mrs. Lawrence
    (Shirley) Bowman and Mrs.
    Donald (Jacqueline) Stevens
    both of Tonawanda and Mrs.
    Philip (Katherine) Morales of
    Charlotte, Mich.; two brothe
    r , Felix Czysz of Fredonia,
    and Dr. Henry Czysz of Williamsville;
    two sisters, Mrs.
    Michael Kittell of Dunkirk and
    Mrs. Glen Krickeldorf of Forest
    ville, 17 grandchildren and
    one great-grandchild
