LOCKPORT — Barbara A. (Williams) Colpoys, 78, went to her heavenly home Saturday, March 10, 2012, while under the care of Hospice. Resident of Briarwood Manor Assisted Living, Lockport, and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls on May 27, 1933 to the late Falson and Hazel (LaPoint) Williams.

Barbara married former NFFD Battalion Chief Carroll J. Colpoys at Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls on June 4, 1955. He predeceased her in 2000.

Founding owner of Niagara Fire Extinguisher, Barbara loved to play bingo, lawn bowling and bocce. She enjoyed spending the winter months with her husband and friends in Florida. Her favorite things were "girls night" with her friends and going to the casino. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church, Niagara Falls, and St. Mary's Parish in Lockport.

Barbara is survived by her children, Michael (Bethann) Colpoys of Niagara Falls, William Colpoys (Sharon Casal) of Sanborn, Linda (William) Brown of Ransomville, and Patricia (Daniel) Coia of Ransomville; sister, Jean (Mel) Houck of Simpsonville, SC; sister-in-law, Patricia Cali and brother-in-law, Elmer Forsey of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Carolyn (Nick) Halliday, Kevin Casal, Elise Colpoys, Maria (Mike) Phillips, Haleigh and Katherine Brown, six great-grand- children; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Williams.

Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave., on Tuesday from 1-3 and 6-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 11:00 AM, at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Town of Lewiston.
