Obituary for Vena DiBernardo
  PrintVena DiBernardo passed through this life on February 21, 2019. A pupil of simplicity and truth, Vena cherished his time with the curious, both young and old. “In other words…” he believed the best of life can be found on the Free Space of a Bingo Card.
His love of art, science, philosophy, analogies, music, words, and humor will live forever in even his briefest encounters.

Husband of the late Camille (nee Grasso) DiBernardo. Loving father of Guy (Carolyn) DiBernardo, Luanne DiBernardo, Van DiBernardo, Vanessa (Gordon) Pellegrinetti, and Jon (Jacqueline) DiBernardo. Proud grandfather of Louis and Mark Zanghi, Aviana and Isadora Pellegrinetti, Vena and Franca DiBernardo. Great-grandfather of William, Camille and Giulia Zanghi. Brother of James (Teresa) DiBernardo, Flora (the late Gino) DiMatteo, Gabriel (Beverly) DiBernardo, Anthony (Geri) DiBernardo and the late Nicoletta Heider. Vena is survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Friends and family will gather at a later date for one final pizza party in memory of Vena.

DIBERNARDO - Frank Dibernardo, 91, Friday (July 2, 1982) in De Veaux Manor. He was born in Penne, Italy, and resided in North Tonawanda most of his life. He was. a Veteran of World War I and a Member of Tonawanda Post 264 American Legion. He was the husband of the late Carmella Dibernardo. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nicoletta Heider and Mrs. Gino (Flora) DiMatteo; four sons, James (Theresa), Vena (Camille), Gabriel (Beverly) and Anthony (Geraldine) Dibernardo, all of North Tonawanda; twenty one grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday and Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Larango Colucci Funeral Home, Oliver St. at Fifth Avenue, North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held Tuesday July 6, at 10:15 a.m. and in Ascension R.C. Church at 10:45 a.m. Interment ML, Olivet Cemetery. Flowers are greatfully declined.

DI BERNARDO Carmella DiBernardo, Thursday (April 1, 1982) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Penne, Italy and resided in North Tonawanda most of her life. She was a member of the St. Anne Society of Ascension Church. Mrs. DiBernardo is survived by her husband, Frank DiBernardo; two daughters, Mrs. Nicoletta Heider and Mrs. Gino v Flora) DiMatteo; four sons, James (Teresa) DiBernardo, Vena (Camille) DiBernardo, Gabriel (Beverly) DiBernardo and Anthony (Geraldine) DiBernardo, all of No. Tona.; twentyone grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters in Italy and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Larango Colucci Funeral Home, Oliver St. at Fifth Ave., No. Tona., where funeral services will be held Monday, April 5, at 9 a.m. and in Ascension R.C. Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
