Robert Taylor of Newfane, NY entered into rest on Wednesday April 17, 2019 in Buffalo, NY. He was born in Lockport, NY on July 18, 1932, the son of the late Herbert A. Taylor Sr. and Ida Arndt Taylor. Robert served in The U.S. Army during the Korean War in the Field Artillery. He worked for Ferguson and Olear Oil Co. and went on to be owner and operator of his own heating and air conditioning business. Robert was a past member of Faith Lutheran Church, a 50 plus year member of the Newfane American Legion and enjoyed crossword puzzles, going to the corner coffee shop "Park Place" and having ice cream at Baehrs. Father of Lynn (Boyd) Cooper of Newfane, Patricia "Patty" (Roy) Gugliuzza of Lockport, John (Michelle) Taylor of New Jersey and Kevin (Michelle) Taylor of Texas. Brother of Bill Taylor, George (Lois) Taylor and the late Herb (Betty) Taylor. Brother in law of the late Carol Taylor. Grandfather of 7 and 1 late grandchild and 2 great grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670  Main St. Newfane, NY on SATURDAY April 20, 2019 from 3-7pm where a Funeral service will be on MONDAY April 22, 2019 at 10am.
