    Earl E. Luick, a former World War II gunner's mate who participated in the Normandy invasion, died Sunday (Nov. 19, 2000) in St. James Hospital, Hornell, after apparently suffering a heart attack while hunting. He was 75.
    Luick was born in Niagara Falls and had attended LaSalle High School.
    He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
    After the war, he worked for several years at Mang's Fish Market. He then became a machine tender at Kimberly-Clark Corp. which later became Niatec Corp. and then Cellu Products, from which he retired in 1981 after 31 years of service.
    He was a member of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion, and Grace Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
    Luick is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Arlene A. Strasburg of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Kathy J. Majka of Niagara Falls; a sister, Carol N. of Niagara Falls; two brothers, Warren J. Sr. and Donald R., both of Sanborn; and two grandsons.
    Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday in Grace Lutheran Church, 716 Cayuga Drive. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
    Wheatfield Post 1451 will hold memorial services at 7:30 P.M. today in Otto Redanz Funeral Home, 2215 Military Road, Town of Niagara

    Arlene A. Luick, 77, who worked as a stenographer at Bell Aerospace Textron, Wheatfield, for 40 years, died Monday (Nov. 12, 2001) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
    Born Arlene Strasburg in Niagara Falls, she was a graduate of LaSalle High School.
    She retired in 1986 from Bell Aerospace.
    Mrs. Luick was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church and was a member of the Bell Aerospace Girls Club and its Quarter Century Club.
    Her husband of 49 years, Earl E., died in 2000.
    Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Majka of Niagara Falls; a brother, Earl Strasburg of Niagara Falls; a sister, Gladys Beningo of Spring Hill, Fla.; and two grandsons.
    Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday in Grace Church, 716 Cayuga Drive. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston
