Kathleen A. (Maloney) Naus, 82, beloved wife of the late Gary Naus, peacefully returned to her to heavenly home on Sunday, March 22, 2020.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Mary Frances (Doyle) and John Cain, and James Maloney.
Kate graduated from Niagara Falls High School and was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls. On June 9, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart Gary Naus. Gary predeceased her on March 1, 2013.
Kate worked for the Niagara Falls School District at the LaSalle Middle School until her retirement, and was an active member of Riverside Presbyterian Church. Kate was an avid crafter and loved to share her talents with her children, grandchildren, school students and for church fund raisers.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Jacqueline Agnello) Naus of Lewiston, David (Kimberly) Naus of Pendleton, and Cathy (Mark) Basta of Fairport, NY. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joel Cain and Michael Maloney and brother-in-law, Gayle Naus (Lois). Surviving siblings are Mary Candace MacArthur (Jon), Jack Cain (Liana), Michele Cain, Elizabeth Myers (Tom), Constance Eastman (Jonathan), Colleen Gardiner (Jeff), John Maloney and sister-in-law, Joyce O'Donnell (Jim). Kate was a devoted and loving grandmother to Jamie, Michael, Brian and Derek Naus, Christopher Naus, Jamie Hardy, Jennifer Simone, Kevin Naus, Jason Ross, James Ross, Elaina, Eric and Sarah Basta, as well as 19 great-grandchildren, with one on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
