Obituary of Delbert Cummings

Delbert O. Cummings, Jr. passed away suddenly July 24, 2018.  Born October 24, 1950 in Lockport he was the son of Delbert O. and Jenette (Criswell) Cummings, Sr.  Delbert worked as a farm hand for 30 years with New Royal Orchard in Gasport.  He enjoyed sports playing baseball, music, politics, playing fantasy football, and was a fan of the Buffalo Bill and Sabres and the NY Yankees. 
Delbert is survived by his children Daniel Cummings, David Cummings, Bruce Cummings, Dylan (Deanna) Cummings, Marc (Shannon) Haner, Kyle (Amanda) Haner, Tammy (Joe) Kowalik, Brandy (Chris) Stinson, and Robin (Eric) James; 22 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings Doug Cummings, Mike Cummings, Cindy Cummings, Marchele Cummings, Judy LaPort, Brenda Rodriguez, Candi Southard, and late Scott Cummings, Randy Cummings, and Wendy Cummings; also survived by his former wives Darlene Haner and Karen Beahr, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, July 27th from 10 am to 12 Noon with services at 12 Noon in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Royalton Union Cemetery on Bunker Hill Rd., Gasport.

Karen Rose (Baehr) Cummings, of Akron, NY, passed away Friday morning, November 1, 2029, following a two-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She passed away at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 8, 1951 in Medina, NY, daughter to the late Wilfred and Margaret (Ireland) Baehr.
Karen's unwavering faith in God, her strong will to live and the love for her family carried her through life. She worked as a nurse's aide for many years but her job as mother, grandmother and great-grandmother fulfilled her life. She loved celebrating holidays and decorating for each one. She looked forward to family gatherings, playing board and card games and watching movies.
She is the loving mother of Tammy (Joseph) Kowalik, and two sets of twins, Daniel Cummings and David Cummings ,and Bruce and Brandy Cummings (Chris Stinson); proud grandmother to nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Karen is also survived by brothers, Ron (Cathy) Baehr, Tom (Mary) Baehr, Dean ( Phyllis) Baehr; and sisters, Kathy (Jack) Bower, Jean Faskel and Terri Baehr; and life long friends, Marlene Rosenburg and Brenda Bower.
A celebration of Karen's life will be held during a memorial service at One Church in Akron.
Family and friends that wish to honor the memory of Karen may make donations on her behalf to University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Foundation, Niagara County Hospice or One Church of Akron.

LOCKPORT - Jenette Elizabeth Naish, age 81, of Gasport, entered into rest on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport. Born July 14, 1932, Jenette was the daughter of the late Ervin and Elida (Brewer) Criswell.

Jenette married Eugene F. Naish on January 20, 2007, at Covenant United Church of Christ. She was previously married to Delbert "Bubby" Cummings, who died in 1993. Jenette worked as a home care aide for many years. An avid sports fan, Jenette enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon #24, the Yankees, Bills and Sabres. Flower gardening and bird watching were favorite pastimes. Jenette also enjoyed going to the casino and traveling with her husband.

Surviving Jenette is her husband, Eugene Naish. Dear mother of Del Cummings of Lockport, Michael Cummings of Lockport, Judy (Roger) LaPort of Arizona, Marchele Pratt of Newfane, Candy Sutherland of West Virginia, Cindy Huth of Newfane, Brenda Rodrigues of Lockport, and Doug (Darla) Cummings of Lockport. She was predeceased by children, Randy Cummings, Scott Cummings and Wendy Cummings. Step-mother of Lugene Dodge of Missouri, Vicky (Larry) Demmin of Middleport, Jacquelyn Lawrence of Gasport, and Gwendolyn Hunt of Middleport. Jenette had a special closeness with her niece, Diane Sansone. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews also survive Jenette.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Private burial services will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorials appreciated to Covenant United Church of Christ.

and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gaul
Funeral Home, 263 East Ave.,
where services will be held at 2
p.m. Thursday. The Rev.
Donald C. Medoff of the
Royalton Baptist Church will
officiate.
Burial will be in Acacia Park
Cemetery.
