Obituary

Gerald William Lindke 
went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2019. He was born in Middleport, NY on July 28, 1941 to the late Burt and Evelyn (Sahms) Lindke.
Gerry lived most of his life in the Western New York area. He and his wife, Jean (Lombard) were married on October 27, 1962 and they raised five children together while he worked as a truck driver for R.L.Gaude Heating and Oil Co. Gerry loved the Lord and attended Legacy Bible Study at the Chapel CrossPoint. He spent most of his time reading and listening to The Bible and always cherished the time he spent with his family.
Gerry is survived by his loving family: his wife of 57 years, Jean Lindke; his children, Samuel (Jacqueline) Lindke, Barbara (Douglas) Foust, Timothy (Melissa) Lindke, late Kristie (Robert) Jones, Benjamin (Molly) Lindke; fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister, Betty (Robert) Williams. Gerry is predeceased by his daughter, Kristie and his sister and brother in law, Jean (Willard) Henry. 
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM with a Memorial Service starting promptly at 6:30 at The Chapel  CrossPoint, 500 CrossPoint Pkwy, Getzville, NY 14068. IN LIEU OF

Retired Farmer Dies at Koepsel Road Home

Jan 31 - John C. Lindke died suddenly Saturday at his home, Koepsel Rd. Akron. He is survived by his wife Ella Jagow Lindke; three sons, Edward J., Clarence Center, Elmer F., Reseda Calif., and Burt W., Akron; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Rose Brunning,Wolcottsville, and one brother, Martin Lindke, Royalton Center. Friends may call at the home where a prayer service for the family will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:45. Funeral services will be held in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville at 2:30 p.m. the Rev. Herman Ewald officiating. Burial in the Wolcottsville cemetery. Mr. Lindke was the son of William and Mary Wendt Lindke and a retired farmer. He lived here 54 years.

John married JAGO, Eleanora Ida on 30 Dec 1903. Eleanora (daughter of JAGO, Ferdinand Ludwig and KLEINHANS, Wilhelmine) was born in 1884 in Wolcottsville, Town of Royalton, Niagara County, NY; died in Jan 1976. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

H. Sahm, 58, of the Mann road,
Town of Royalton, died suddenly
yesterday afternoon at his home.
Mr. Sahm is survived by his wife.
Mrs. Huldah Sahm; two sons. Franklin,
Newfane, and Carlos, at home;
two daughters, Mrs. Burt Lindkc.
Akron, and Mrs. Arnold Brunning,
at home; eight grandchildren; one
brother, William Sahm, Royalton
Center; one sister. Mrs. Frank Criswell.
Akron, and several nieces and
nephews.
Friends may call today and tomorrow
from 3 to 5 and from 7 to
9 p. m. at the Wallace and Heath
Funeral home. 38 State street, where
funeral services will be held Wednesday
at 2 p. m. The Rev. John
Mann, of the Royalton Methodist

be in Chestnut Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Sahm was born in the Town
of Lockport, a son of Henry Sahm
and Augusta Macss Sahm. He -had
been a farmer all his life.

William M. Lindke, aged 93 years, passed away at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Jacob Fitch, town of Newstead. He leaves to mourn, four sons and two daughters: Mrs. Jacob Fitch, and John Lindke of Newstead, Christian of Shelby, Mrs. Frank Brunning, Martin and Fred of Royalton. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the late residence and at 2:30 Standard Time from St. Michael’s Church, Wolcottsville, Rev. Fred Schleef officiating. MIDDLEPORT. Jan. 26 - Mrs. Minnie Jago. 78, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Lindke in Newstead Monday night. She is survived by two daughters and three sons, Mrs. John Lindke of Newstead, Mrs. Fred Lindke and Fred Jago of Wolcottsville, John and Frank Jago of the Town of Royalton. The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 from Trinity Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville with burial in Wolcottsville Cemetery. The Rev. Herman Ewald will officiate.
