    A candlelight ceremony which took place in the
    chapel of First Baptist Church on Friday evening
    united in marriage Miss Karen Elizabeth Urtel and
    Thomas E. Flechsenhaar. The couple exchanged
    their vows before the Rev. Keith Tennis, assistant
    pastor at the church.
    The bride is the daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Urtel,
    51 Prospect St. Mr. and Mrs.
    George E. Flechsenhaar, 98
    Church St., are the bridegroom's
    parents.
    Carrying a nosegay of pink
    roses with pompons and ivy,
    Miss Urtel wore a street
    length gown of candlelight
    Chantilly lace, fashioned with
    a circlet neckline, three-quarter
    length sleeves, and bellshaped
    skirt accented at the
    waistline by a hunter green
    velvet band. A flowered hat
    completed her ensemble.
    She was attended by Mrs.
    Leonard L. Bower, the bridegroom's
    sister, who wore an
    emerald green shantung
    sheath dress trimmed with a
    matching panel drape and
    side bow. A flowered hat in
    shades of rose and gold completed
    her attire.
    D o n a l d Flechsenhaar
    served as best man for his
    brother.
    After attending a reception
    held at Green Acres, Burt,
    the newlyweds left for a honeymoon
    in Canada.

    Charles H. Flechsenhaar died September 3rd, 1943. He is survived by his wife Catherine, six sons and one daughter, George E. of Lockport, Mark R., of Lockport, Richard J., of Knowlesville, Private Charles H., Private William of California, Corp. John H. of New York City, and Mrs. LaVerne Penwright of Lockport, two brothers and four sisters, Henry of Newfane, George of Champaign, Ill., Mrs. Martha Shultz, Mrs. Staniaeus Lufton, Lockport, Mrs. Henry Penn of Eggertsville, and Mrs. Seth Clark of Buffalo, also nine grandchildren. His mother Mrs. Herman Flechsenhaar of Lockport.

    The Funeral will be held Monday, Sept 6, 1943, from the home 37 Charlotte Street at 8:30 o'clock and 9:00 o'clock at St Patrick's Church. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

    LOCKPORT - Mrs. Catherine L. Flechsenhaar, 81 of 4055 Johnson Road, Town of Lockport, died today, (Sept 16 1968) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

    Born in Lowville, NY 7, 1887, the daughter of Michael and Jane Carlin, she has been a resident of this city and a member of St. Patrick's for the last 61 years.

    Very active in St. Patrick's church affairs, she was a member of many of the organizations there including the Alter and Rosary Society, Ladies of Charity, the Bishop's committee, the Sacred Heart League, the Blue Cross of St. Patrick's and Our Lady of Fatima.
