Margaret A. “Marge” Matthews (nee Brydges), age 85, passed away January 22, 2020 at her Niagara Falls residence surrounded by her family.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Brydges.
Margaret was the wife of the late Donald K. Matthews who predeceased her in 1988. Margaret attended local schools, she was employed for 28 years at Tops Markets, Military Rd. as a Deli Clerk.
Marge enjoyed visiting garage sales and watching sports on T.V.  But most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren . She is survived by her children, Sherry A. Doel, Keith D. Matthews and Dawn M. Matthews. Cherished grandmother of David (Cat) Westerman, Crystal Westerman and Summer (Phil Mesler) Matthews. Great- grandmother of Kaylen, Avery, and Matteo. She was predeceased by her twin brother, George Brydges.
There will be no prior visitation.  Private funeral services were held. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorials in Marge’s honor may be sent to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements by M.J. Brydges, Cleveland Ave. The
bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Keith M a t t h e w s,
Grcenwald Ave.
Given in marriage by her
uncle, Clarence Brydges; Mrs.
Matthews was attended by Miss
Edith Cowling as maid of honor.
Harold Matthews was his brother's
best man and performing
the ushering duties were John R.
Zimmerman and W a l l a ce
Wright, the latter of Niagara
Falls, Ont.
The couple chose a wedding
trip to Canada.

George P. Brydges. 33 years old, of
1803 1-2 South avenue, died in the
Municipal hospital last night after
a short illness. Dr. H. C. Dubvllle,
acting city health officer, said today
that death resulted from meningitis
and that the case was an isolated
one here.
Mr. Brydges, who was employed
by the National Carbon company,
ls survived by twin children. Margaret
and George J.; h i s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur N. Brydges;
five brothers, Arthur, Clyde E.,
Gerald D., Laverne R and Clarence
R. Brydges, and two alsters. Mrs.
Cecil Cowling and Mrs. William Maloney,
all of this city,

Arthur M. Brydges, father of three
soldiers in the United States Army,
died at his home, 1803 1-2 South
avenue, last night. He was 63
years old. He had been ill two
months.
Mr. Brydges was a native an
lifelong resident of Niagara Falls.
He was a lather by trade. is
survivors re his wife, Mrs Cora
Brydges; five sons, Arthur W. and
Gerald Brydges of this city, and
Privates Laverne, Clarence and
Clyde Brydges, of the U. S. Army
and two daughters Mrs.. Cecil Cowl-
ing and Mrs William Malaney, of
this city.
Funeral services will be held at
the home of his son, Arthur W..
Brydges, 1925 LaSalle avenue, at 2
p.m. Monday, with te Rev. Rodney
Buntz officiating. Burial will be in
North Ridge cemetery.
