BARBARA ROFFLEDECEMBER 20, 1929 - MAY 13, 2020​Barbara (Marshanke) Roffle, 90 years old, passed away on May 13, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Care Center.  She was born in Oil City, PA on December 20, 1929, the daughter of the late Clarence F. and Hilda (Deeter) Marshanke, Sr.​Early on, Barbara worked as a waitress at various restaurants in Niagara Falls.  She also worked at Carborundum for 10 years and St. Mary's Hospital for 7 years.  Barbara was a volunteer at HANCI and received the Volunteer of the Year Award.  Barbara always enjoyed being with her family and enjoyed ceramics and quilting.  She was best known for her beautiful crocheting and baking.  She enjoyed the Buffalo Bills and the Tampa Bay Rays; playing bingo and dominoes and quilting at Riverside Church.  She was a member of the formerOur Lady of Lebanon Church; the Cedars of Lebanon Club and the St. George Orthodox Church Senior Club.  On January 8, 1949 she married Raphael Z. Roffle atOur Lady of Lebanon Church.  After 54 years of marriage he predeceased her on August 29, 2003. ​Barbara is survived by her 10 loving children;Mark (Nanette) Roffle, Raphael L. (Diane Quarantello) Roffle, Roseanna (Joseph) Magaddino, Barbara (Larry) Chiarenza, Gail (Bill) Bradfield, Charles (Joanne) Roffle, Paula (late Clarence "Chip") Mayo, Douglas (Sue) Roffle, Roberta (Richard "Bud") Bradfield and Christina Roffle.  She is survived by 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; her sister, Judith (Bill) Schrecengost; her sister-in-law, Rose Magee and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her sister, Lois (Nick) Perry; her brothers, Clarence (Betty) Marshanke, Jr.,Martin (Nancy) Marshanke, Charles Marshanke and Philip (June) Marshanke and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Thomas Roffle.​Barbara's family wish to extend a special "thank you" to the nursing and office staff at Schoellkopf Health Care Center and to all the aides that helped their mom while she was still in her home.  Barbara graciously donated her body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program.​A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date.ARRANGEMENTS ENTRUSTED TO THE LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC.
