    DeVANTIER-Norman A. of 2043 Cayuga Dr. Ext. In Sister's Hospital, October 25, 1977. Husband of Pearl (Haseley) DeVantier. Father of Mrs. Mark (Marlene) Sivecz of Spencerport, N.Y., Lauren and Scott DeVantier, both at home. Brother of Gerhard and Martin DeVantier, both of Niagara Falls. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John H. Crilley officiating. Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Rd., Sanborn, from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.     Norman DeVantier
    BERGHOLTZ - Norman A. DeVantier, 55. of 2043 Cayuga Drive Extension died Tuesday (Oct. 25, 1977) in Sister's Hospital, Buffalo, after an apparent heart attack. A lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, he served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and had been employed by the National Grinding Wheel County, North Tonawanda, as a machinist for over 20 years. He was a member, trustee, president, and elder of St. Jame's (sic) Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was an exempt member of the Bergholtz Volunteer Fire County, a member of the Wheatfield American Legion Post 1451, the Wheatfield Republican Club, and was a Wheatfield Republican town committeeman.
    Survivors include his wife. Pearl Haseley DeVantier; a son, Scott DeVantier, two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Marlene) Sivecz of Spencerport, and Miss Lauren DeVantier, at home; two brothers, Gerhard and Martin DeVantier, both of Niagara Falls, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the St. Jame's (sic) Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John H. Crilley officiating. Burial will be in St. Jame's (sic) Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

    Pearl Elfreida (Haseley) DeVantier, the daughter of the late Erich F. and Lily (Walck ) Haseley, was born on April 11, 1930, in the town of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York. She was baptized into the Christian faith on April 20, 1920 by Pastor Edward A. Grabau in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Walmore. After taking religious instructions under Pastor Grabau, Pearl made public affirmation of her faith through the rite of Confirmation on April 18, 1943. She attended St. Peter’s
    Parochial School until high school. On May 12, 1951, Pearl was united in marriage with Norman A. DeVantier in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Their 26 years of married life together were blessed by God with three children: Marlene, Lauren, and Scott. Pearl was a 1947 graduate of LaSalle High School and had worked as a secretary at Vedder Insurance Agency, Walter S. Johnson Building Company., and E.I. duPont Company; also at Hens & Kelly Department store as an office manager, and Bell Aerospace Textron as an administrative secretary from which she retired in 1992. Church was a large part of Pearl’s life. She was a leader of Junior Lutherans, participated in the Women of the Church group, sang in the church choir and faithfully attended services. She was an avid collector of angels and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, card playing and floral arranging. Her specialty was making old-fashioned German waffles and baking hundreds of Christmas cookies to give away!
    Pearl died in the Lord on March 25, 2020, having attaining the age of 90. She suffered from complications of the Coronavirus. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman, in 1977, a sister Lily Peter in 2003, and a brother, Alfred Haseley, in 2006.
    Pearl is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Mark) Sivecz and Dr. Lauren (Kenneth) DeVantier Schosek, one son, Scott (Paula) DeVantier, a sister-inlaw, Hazel Haseley, five grandchildren, Daniel (Inhee) Han-Sivecz, Melinda (Ryan) Charron, Rev. David Sivecz, Katherine (Rahul) DeVantier-Pradhu, and Christina (Andrew Fera) DeVantier, and two great-grandchildren, Natalie Charron and Matthias Han-Sivecz along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    Private Christian graveside services were held at the St. James Lutheran Cemetery on May 30, 2020 with the Rev. Daniel Tabor officiating. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield, NY.

    William DeVantier, 82, Dies After Heart Attack
    SANBORN - William G. DeVantier, 82, of 2043 Cayuga Drive, died Monday evening (July 1, 1968) at his home, of an apparent heart attack, after a long illness. A native of Wheatfield, Mr. DeVantier was a resident of Niagara Falls for 54 years. He was a wheel molder at the Carborundum Co. for more than 25 years and was a member of the plant's 25 Year Club. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholtz and an elder of that parish for 15 years. He is survived by three sons, Gerhard, Martin and Norman DeVantier, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Rose) Camann and Mrs. William (Martha) Siegmann, all of Niagara Falls. Mr. DeVantier is also survived by eight, grandchildren. His wife, Margaretha, predeceased him. Friends may call at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home here from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services at St. James Lutheran Church will be held Friday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Robert Lehman officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery

    Bergholtz Woman Called by Death
    BERGHOLTZ, April 12.-Mrs. Margaret DeVantier, 55 years old, a lifelong resident of the town of Wheatfield, died yesterday in the Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls, after a prolonged illness. She resided on the Old Niagara Falls boulevard in Bergholtz. Mrs. DeVantier is survived by her husband, William; three sons, Gerhard, Martin and Norman; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Ferchen; two sisters, the Misses Charlotte and Martha Ferchen, and four brothers, John, Valerius, David and Paul Ferchen, all of the town of Wheatfield. Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and at 2:30 from St. James church, Rev. Otto Bruss officiating. Interment will be in St. James cemetery.

    Rites Tomorrow for Mrs. Haseley
    SANBORN-Mrs, Lily H. Haseley. 60, died Saturday (April 7, 1956) at the Hilltop Nursing Home, Gasport, where she has been confined for about a year by ill health.
    Born March 13, 1896, Mrs. Haseley was the daughter of the late William A. and Ernestine Haseley Walck.
    She is survived by her husband, Erich F. Haseley; two daughters. Mrs. Donald Peters, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Norman DeVantier, Niagara Falls; a son, Alfred E. Haseley, this village; a sister, Mrs. John DeVantier, Niagara Falls: four brothers, the Rev. Alfred Walck; Webster, Rudolph. C., William A. and Hubert Walck, all of this vil1age; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    Mrs. Haseley was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, and of its Ladies Aid Society.
    Services will be conducted at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Norman DeVantier, Old Niagara Falls Blvd., at 2 p.m. Tuesday and at 2:30 o'clock at St. Peter's Church by the Rev. Martin Pempeit. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
