    It is with great sadness that the family of Amy Beth Armagost to announce that she has suddenly passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on August 24, 2020.   She was born on October 12, 1979 in Lewiston, NY,  to parents Gerald and Paula (Black) Armagost and lifelong resident of Western New York.
    Amy is the loving mother of Isiah Edwards and  Jennavecia Shilling.
    She had many struggles and difficulties in her life,  yet found strength in her loving fiance Christopher Shilling. She was kind, honest, and helpful to all of the many lives she touched. She enjoyed traveling to Ithaca and spending time with her loved ones in the open outdoors.
    Psalm 34:18 says “The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” She can now be at peace in the hands and care of her Lord and comfort with her brother.
    In addition to her parents and children, she is survived by three sisters Tricia (Eddie) Lukaszek, Jessica (Dustin) Bauer and Annarose (Javier) Martinez and was the aunt of Megan, Aurora, Arabelle, Paul and  Anthony, also several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
    Amy was the sister of the late Gered Armagost
    Private funeral services were held at the wishes of her family.
    Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
    Should friends and family desire, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Paula and Gerald Armagost for the future of her children.

    We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Gerald "Gerry" F. Armagost, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and decorated Air Force veteran, on January 19, 2024, at the age of 73.
    He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Paula Armagost and their children, Tricia (Eddie) Lukaszek, Jessica Bauer, Anna (Javier) Martinez, his 9 grandchildren, Megan, Isiah, Paul, Anthony, Arabelle, Jennavecia, Aurora, Silvio, and Rafael. Gerry is predeceased by his son Gered Armagost and daughter Amy Armagost, whose memories remain a cherished part of his story.
    He was born on June 11th, 1950, in Dubois, PA, to Fred and Barbara [Streeter] Armagost.  As the 2nd eldest of 10 siblings, he learned the true value of family. He graduated from LewPort High School in 1968 and joined the United States Air Force where he honorably served his country with integrity, dedication and strength.
    Gerry's passion for carpentry and woodworking was more than a hobby; it was an extension of his character. Each piece he created was a testament to his attention to detail and craftsmanship.
     He found solace and joy in the hymn "Amazing Grace." The words "how sweet the sound" were a reflection of his approach to life by embracing challenges with grace and finding joy in life's simplest moments.
    Gerry will be remembered as a hero, role model and devoted family man.  He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
    His family welcomes friends and loved ones to join in honoring and celebrating Gerry's life at a graveside service with Military Honors on Wednesday 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Mount View Cemetery, 3077 Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn, NY.

    R.T. Black, 74, of the town of
    Niagara died Wednesday (July
    23, 2003) at his second home on
    Bush Hill Road in Farmersville.
    Born Nov. 15, 1928, in Windburn,
    Pa., he was a son of the
    late George R.T. and Mary
    Louise Kalka Black. On Oct. 3,
    1958, in Erie, Pa., he married the
    former Patricia A. Gabrielli, who
    survives.
    Mr. Black moved to Niagara
    Falls with his family at the age
    of 12 and attended local schools.
    He served with the U.S. Marine
    Corps as a sergeant from Oct.
    14,1946,untilhishonorabledischarge
    on Oct. 13, 1951. Mr.
    Black was involved in operations
    against enemy forces in South
    and Central Korea as well as the
    assault and seizure of Inchon
    and the capture of Seoul. He
    was awarded a World War II
    Victory Medal, a Korean Service
    Medal with three stars, and a
    Presidential Unit Citation with
    one star.
    Mr. Black was employed for
    28 years as a furnace foreman at
    the former Allied Chemical Co.
    in Ransomville. He then worked
    as a production foreman at the
    former Rowe Products in Niagara
    Falls for nine years.
    Mr. Black was an avid hunter
    and outdoorsman. He enjoyed
    taking walks through the woods
    and especially loved spending
    time at his home in the Southern
    Tier.
    Surviving besides his wife of
    44 years are two daughters,
    Debra "Debi" Black of Niagara
    Falls and Paula (Gerald)
    Armagost of Sanborn; seven
    grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
    two sisters, Catherine
    (Frank) Martha of Sanborn and
    Anna Jean (Steve) Martha of
    Niagara Falls; two brothers,
    David M. (Harriet) Black of Rushford
    and Robert (Velma) Black of
    Texas; and several nieces, nephews,
    great-nieces, great-nephews
    and cousins.
    Friends called at the M.J.
    Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel,
    468 19th St., Niagara Falls, Saturday
    (July 26, 2003) from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 8:30 p.m., at which time
    funeral services were held. The
    Rev. Milan Slahor officiated.
    Burial will be held at the convenience
    of the family.
    Flowers are gratefully declined.
    Contributions to the family
    of Mr. Black would be graciously
    accepted and appreciated.
