Patricia Stoops passed away peacefully at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC, on August 27th, 2020. Patty was born November 27, 1946 to Clinton and Ina (Seegott) Brewer.
She was a graduate of the Lockport Senior High School, class of 1964, and continued her education at the Catherine McAuley School of Nursing in Batavia, NY.
Patty worked at Lockport Memorial Hospital as an LPN, having retired after many years of service.
While she relocated to North Carolina many years ago, she never lost her love for her frequent visits to Letchworth State Park in the fall.
Patty is survived by siblings, Jamie Brewer of Tuscaloosa, AL, Laurie (Brian) Costello of Lockport, NY.; her children, Sara (Glenn) Ferguson of Sinking Springs, PA, David (Cara) Stoops, of Somerville, MA, and Matthew (Jennifer) Stoops of Huntersville, NC. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Emily and Jeremy Ferguson and Zoe Stoops.

Miss Patricia Jane Brewer
became the wife of Paul
Edward Stoops at 10 o'clock
this morning, Aug. 19, 1967,
during Nuptial High Mass at
St. Mary's Church in Lockport.
The Rev. Albert Winter officiated
at the ceremonies,
uniting in marriage the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Clinton K. Brewer of 252 Ontario
St., Lockport, and the
son of Mr. and Mrs. James
E. Stoops, 89 Regent Ave.,
Lockport.
Miss Brewer was given
in marriage by her father,
and was attired in an A-line
gown of white silk organza
with appliques of lace and
seed pearls, a Sabrina neckline
and short lace sleeves.
A chapel - length train fell
from a bow at her waist and
her pillbox headpiece held a
fingertip veil of silk illusion*.
Miss Brewer carried a
bouquet of white carnations
and English ivy. She dedicated
a bouquet of blue and
white carnations at the altar
of the Virgin Mary.
Miss Laurie Jean Brewer
was maid of honor for her'
sister, attired in a pink
floor - length gown of crepe
with Kabuki sleeves. Embroidered
daisies enhanced
the neckline and sleeves.
Miss Richi Sue Francis of
Cortland and Mrs. Joanna
Futch of Lockport were attendants
for Miss Brewer,
attired identically to the
maid of honor but in lavender.
They wore daisy headpieces
with short veils. The
maid of honor carried a bouquet
of lavender daisies and
the other attendants carried
pink daisies.
The bride's mother chose
a three - piece suit of pink
lace and the groom's mother
a dress of blue shantung.
Serving as maid of honor
was Jack Stoops with Alan
OeStreich and Eugene Coumont
as ushers.
A wedding breakfast was
held at noon at the VFW
Hall, Caledonia Street, Lockport,
to be followed by a reception
from 2 to 5'p.m.
The couple will tour the
Newt England States on a
wedding trip and make their
future home at 114 West
Ave., Lockport.
Miss Brewer was graduated
from Catherine McAuley
School of Practical Nursing
at Batavia and is employed
by Lockport Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is assistant
manager of Bells IGA
store ih Newfane. Both were
graduated from Lockport
Senior High School.
Guests attended the wedding
from Chicago, Cortland,
Michigan and Long Island
as well as the Lockport
area.
