Patricia A. Froman, age 69, of Youngstown, died Tuesday June. 29, 2006 in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Froman was born August 5, 1936 in Youngstown, NY, the daughter of the. late Stanley and Sarah (Myers) Schultz and was a lifelong resident of the Town of Porter. In 1951 she graduated from Youngstown High School. Patricia was a Nurses Aide and had worked at the former Ransomville General Hospital for 10 years. She then worked at the Newfane Nursing Home for 10 years before retiring in the mid 1980' s.
Patricia formerly attended the Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church in Ransomville. She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed making floral arrangements and her many travels with her very dedicated and loving 8-year companion, Ronald Quiett.
She was the widow of Martin Froman, Jr. who predeceased her April 10, 1992. Patricia is survived by her children, Stephen (Gail Colleen) Zurenda of Lockport, Thomas (Nancy) Zurenda of Marlena, FL, Daniel (Sally) Zurenda of Black River, NY, Paul Zurenda of Bath, NY, Debra (Donald) Ackley of Hammondsport, NY; John. (Barbara) Zurenda of Waynesville, NC, Matthew Froman of Lockport and Kelly (Jamie) O'Donnell of Wilson; a brother, John "Jack" (Maxine "Mickey") Schultz of Youngstown; four sisters, Deanna (William) Leggett of Ransomville, Mary (Ronald) Lauzau of Wilson, Susan (Timothy) Harris and Cynthia (Scott) Hillman both of Ransomville. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her loyal Best Buddy pet dog JAKE.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June·24, at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 239, Ransomville, NY 14131.
