Member of Miller Hose Auxiliary, disaster chairperson fro Miller Hose Fire Co, Newfane Historical Society, St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Dorothy drove bus for New York State Agriculture and Ridge Road Express. Also was an election inspector for Niagara County. She enjoyed her garden, china painting and quilting. Beloved mother of Robert C. Vigrass Jr., Richard (Connie) Vigrass and the late Charlene Vigrass. Grandmother of Samuel Payne, Molly Vigrass and Nicole Emmerick. Dearest sister of Winifred Heschke, Charlotte Patrick, Donald (Judy) Ryan, Dawn Coyle and the late Betty (Gordon) Crane, Harold (Pat) Shirley Ray, Gerry (Ernie) Winters, Audrey (Wayne) Burgess, Mary (Jr) Caldwell, Anna Heschke and Florence Kolbe. Sister in law of Robert Heschke, Herb Kolbe and the late Fay Heschke, Pat Patrick and Raymond Coyle. Mother in law of Rick Nowicki, Bob Payne and Diane Vigrass. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane , NY on Sunday from 4-8pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11am. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials to the Make A Wish Foundation or St. Andrews Episcopal Church.

    Park Ave., died Sunday (April 14, 1968) in his home
    after a long illness.
    Bom in Staffordshire, England,
    he resided here most of
    his life.
    He served as justice of, the
    peace here for 20 years,, retiring
    about 25 years ago. He was
    a member of St. Mark's Episcopal
    Church and a life member
    of the Knights of Pythias.
    He was the husband of the
    former Emma Romanowski,
    who died in 1958.
    Survivors include four sons,
    Ernest, Arthur and Wilbert,
    of this city, and Robert of Newfane;
    four daughters, Mrs.
    George (Beatrice) Bacon, Mrs.
    Arthur (Alice) Ekins, Mrs. Wallace
    (Emma) Jaenecke, all of
    this city, and Mrs. Samuel
    (Olive) Horan of Lockport; 23
    grandchildren and 33 greatgrandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
    the Roth Funeral Home by the
    Rev. Canon Alexander Corti.
    Burial will be in White Chapel
    Memorial Park.

    R o m a n o w s k y Vigrass, 79, of 16
    Park Ave. died Sunday (March 16,
    1958) in Kenmore Mercy Hospital
    after several months illness.
    A native of this city, she war
    a member of St. Mark's Episcopal
    Church.
    She is survived by her husband,
    Ernest L. Vigrass, five daughters,
    Mrs. George Bacon, Mrs. Harold
    Voisinet, Mrs. Athur Ekins and
    Mrs. Wallace. Jaenecke, all of this
    city, and Mrs. Samuel Horan,
    Lockport; four sons, Ernest Vigrass
    Jr.. Arthur Wilbert and Robert
    Vigrass, all of this city; 22 grandchildren
    and 13 great grandchildren.
    The Rev. Alexander J. Corti
    will conduct services at 2 p.m.
    Wednesday at the John O. Roth
    Funeral Home. Burial will be in
    White Chapel Memorial Park.

    Mr. and Mrs. Ernest L. Vigrass
    of 16 Park Ave. will celebrate
    their golden wedding anniversary,
    tomorrow evening, with a garden
    party at their home. They were
    married in North Tonawanda Sept.
    6 1899 by the Rev. Walter Lord
    and have lived in the Tonawandas
    most of their lives. The Rev. Lord
    will attend the celebration.
    Mr. Vigrass, who retired from
    business three years ago, waa
    born in England and came to Canada
    at the age of one. Later he
    moved to North Tonawanda. Mrs.
    Vigrass, 70, the former Emma
    Romanowsky, was born in Tonawanda.
    Mr. and Mrs. Vigrass are the
    parents of four sons, Ernest Arthur,
    Wilbert, Robert and five
    daughters, Mrs. George Bacon,
    Mrs. Harold Voisinet, Mrs. Arthur
    Ekins, Mrs. Samuel and Mrs.
    Wallace Jaenecke. They have 16
    grandchildren and four great
    grandchildren.

    Mrs. Ryan was a nurse at Wyndham
    Lawn Home for Children for
    It years and also in many area
    nursing homes.
    A resident of Lockport for SO
    years, she spent her youth in the
    Quaker Road area.
    Surviving are three sons. Percy

    Lockport boatman, who died suddenly
    Wednesday night of an acute
    heart attack on a canal boat at Lyons,

    funeral services to be held Sunday

    street. Burial will be in Qlenwood
    cemetery.
    Mr. Bloom, who for the peat five
    years had been employed as captain
    by the Seaboard-Great Lakes
    corporation, visited here Sunday
    night when the fleet, of which he
    was in charge, passed through the
    locks on its last trip to New York

    has been employed on the canal for

    the past ten years. He spent the
    winters to Lockport.
