    Notes:

Alfred Leo, 85, currently of Macedon, NY, and originally of Niagara Falls, NY, as well as the Cattaraugus County area, passed away on September 17, after a courageous battle with dementia and Parkinson’s symptoms in Rochester. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Joseph Leo and Mary (Palombo) Leo; and beloved husband of Catherine (Renda) Leo, who he married on May 7, 1960 at St. Joseph Church.
Alfred attended local schools and was drafted into the U.S. Army on January 14, 1957, until his honorable discharge in January 13, 1963 as a Corporal. Al began working at Niagara Heating Company, the International Paper Company, and E.I. DuPont for several years prior to retiring from Harrison Radiator as a pipefitter, after 25 years of dedicated service.
Mr. Leo lived life on his terms, and installed the values of his hard work in his family. His unbelievable work ethic and his ability to build anything with the highest quality was remarkable. He hated reading the instructions, but he was “sure he could reverse engineer the space shuttle and probably build it better.”
Alfred was an avid hunter of both big and small game. He loved spending time outdoors, especially at his hunting camp in the Southern Tier. In his younger years, he enjoyed working on, and hot rodding, cars.
Later in life he fell in love with his Harley Davidson full dress motorcycles, cleaning them as much as he rode them. Above all, Mr. Leo centered his life around his wife, children and his ultimate pride and joy, his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Leo is survived by his son, Vincent A. (Laurie) Leo and was predeceased by his cherished daughter, Mary (John of California) Slusser; and is also survived by his grandchildren, Kailey Slusser, Miranda and Michael Leo, and Jenna Slusser; his brother, Louis (Anita) Leo, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Romany Leo, Virginia (late Carmen) DePetris, Caroline (late Stanley) Surman, and his in-laws, Albert and Tomasina (Colosi) Renda.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 22 from 11 – 1 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 1 P.M. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
