Proud grandfather of Meghan, Timothy, Amber and Kaysy. Brother of John (Jane) Downing, Marcy (Lawrence) Lackner and Michelle (Michael) Howell. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and Greta Sue (the cat).

    Friends invited to a Visitation at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St. North Tonawanda on Sunday September 27, 2020 4-7 p.m. where friends are invited to share stories of his life and friendship at 7:00 p.m.

    Steven loved the outdoors. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing and being with his family - Especially with his wife - Sue.

    PRINTSusan “Sue” A. Downing (nee Lukasik) 71, of the Town of Wheatfield died on Friday, June 18, 2021. Wife of the late Steven E. Downing. Daughter of the late John and Shirley Lukasik. Beloved Mother of Deanna (Dennis) Scott and Tracy Fleischman. Proud grandmother of Meghan, Timothy, Amber and Kaysy. Sister of Wendy (David) Lusk and Michael Lukasik and the late Imogene Pasel and Mary Shanahan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and her cat, Greta-Sue. Friends received by the family on Thursday 4-7 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held at 7:00 P.M. that evening. Interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery on Friday afternoon at 1:00. Please assemble at the front gate at 12:45. Sue was a local Real Estate Agent with Re/Max North.

    Born in Poland, Mrs. Lukasik
    had resided in North Tonawanda
    for the past 50 years. She was
    the wife of the late Frank Lukasik
    and mother of the late Anthony
    and Steve Brodowski. She
    is survived by two stepdaughters,
    Mrs. Frances Soos and Mrs.
    Frank (Jean) Jehrio; two stepsons,
    John F. and Henry Lukasik,
    all of North Tonawanda; 14
    grandchildren, and a brother, Joseph
    Zielinski of Detroit, Mich.

    a.m. from the Pawenski Funeral

    Joanne E. (nee Moderacki) Rakowski, 98, of North Tonawanda died unexpectedly Monday, December 29, 2014 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Emily (nee Michalski) Moderacki; sister, Harriet (nee Moderacki) Kezeminski; brothers, Stanley, Henry and Maryon Moderacki and husband, Benjamin Rakowski.

    Joanne is survived by her children, Shirley (John) Lukasik and Richard (Gisela) Rakowski; grandchildren, Richard (Christine) Lukasik, Michelle Vogel, Christopher Megan) Rakowski; great grandchildren, Alexandria (Micheal) Nelson, Paul Lukasik, Stephanie Vogel, David Vogel and Leah Rakowski.

    Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 2-6pm at Colucci Funeral Home, 652 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda (692-4917). Reverand Gary Szczepankiewicz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 9:30AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 626 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda. Family and friends please assemble at church. A interment service will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers are graciously declined. Memorial gifts may be made in Joanne's memory to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church Renovation Fund, 57 Center Avenue, North Tonawanda, New York 14120.
