    Lawrence A. Neubauer, 82, formerly of LaSalle Ave., died Saturday (Jul 6, 1996) at St. Mary's Manor nursing home after a lengthy illness. He was borm May 19, 1914 in Niagara Falls, the son of George and Mathilda (Fritz) Neubauer. He attended local schools and was a 1933 graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School. Mr. Neubauer was employed for several years at the Kimberly Clark corporation, befor serving in the Philippines with the US Army Tank Corp. during WW II. He was then employed as a tinsmith with E. I. DuPont Co., Niagara plant where he worked for more than 30 years. He retired in 1976. A member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church, he served in various capacities, including elder and head usher. He also bowled in the church league. Mr. Neubauer was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the DuPont 25 year club. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lily "Joan" Bond of Niagara Falls, a son Richard Neubauer of Castleberry, Fla., two sisters, Winifred Meade of Lyons and Dorothy Albright of Lewiston; a brother Richard Neubauer of Lewiston, five grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Roy Neubauer. Visitation wil be from 2-4, and 7-9 pm today at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home LaSalle Park Chapel, 2215 Military Road. The Rev. Gary Luderman will conduct services at 2 pm. Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2759 Military Road. Burial will be in Acacia Park, Cemetery, Pendleton.

    George W. Neubauer, 421 Eighth street, veteran employee of the Aluminum Company of America, died early yesterday morning in Memorial hospital of a fractured skull, suffered a few hours earlier in a fall down a cellar stairway at
    his home. Mr,. Neubauer was descending the stairs to look at the furnace when he tripped and fell, striking his head. Born in Bergholtz. Mr. Neubauer had lived in this city most of his life and was connected with the Aluminum company for more than
    40 years. He was 67 years old. He was widely known and highly respected among a large circle of older residents of the city. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mathilde Neubauer; five children. Winifred G., Lawrence A., Roy W., Richard G., and Dorothy H.. all of this city: two brothers, Philip Neubauer, this city, and Christ Neubauer, Buffalo, and two sisters. Mrs. John Reid and Mrs. Jacob Grose, also of this city. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home and at 2:30 o'clock In Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church, South avenue, with burial in Oakwood cemetery ln the family plot.

Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. It is the family's wish that tributes be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Niagara Falls, N.Y.

    Notes:

    Fritz, William F., was born September 25, 1855, and has resided all his life in Martinsville. His father, Christian Fritz, was one of the leading men of his town and conducted a large saw mill business in Martinsville and William F. grew up in that business. In 1894 he established a coal business in Martinsville, to which he now gives his attention. He has been twice married; his first wife was Sophia Peters, who died leaving three children: Christian, Matilda and Rosa. For his second wife he married Rose Peters, and they have three children: Mary, Clara and Reno. His father, Christian Fritz, died in 1887. He was horn in Germany and came to America and built a saw mill at Martinsville. He was prominent in politics as well as in business and was three terms supervisor of the town, besides holding other offices. William F. Fritz is a Democrat, a member of the firemen and engineer of the corps. He has been county delegate several terms and also inspector of election. His mother was Henrietta (Dornfield) Fritz and is still living.
