    Obituary of Donald F. Fry

    Donald F. Fry passed away October 13, 2020 in Buffalo General Medical Center.  Born February 1, 1934 in Lockport he was the son of Burt and Laura (Lederhouse) Fry.  Donald worked for Harrison Radiator Div of GM for 30 years in production retiring in 1983.  He is a former Rapids Volunteer Fireman, enjoyed farming on his family farm, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and nephews
    Donald is survived by his wife of 66 years, Myra (Zastrow) Fry; his daughter Cynthia (late James) Johnson; grandchildren Leah Johnson and James Johnson, Jr.; siblings Roy (Mary Ann) Fry, Marjorie Singleton and the late Marvin “Dutch” (Marie) Fry, Clarence (Marjorie) Fry, Doris Dietz, Lorraine Dysinger, Carol Lippert, Norman Fry, Warren Fry, Howard Fry, Glen Fry and Gordon Fry; also several nieces and nephews.
    Relatives and friends may call Thursday, Oct. 15th from 1-4 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.

    EAST WILSON, Aug. 21.-A very
    pretty wedding took place at the par-
    sonage of Rev. Barkow on Wednesday
    afternoon. Aug. 15 at 3 o'clock when
    he united in marriage Miss Gertrude
    Bonstadt of the Ridge road and Mr.
    Elmer Zastrow of this place.
    The bride was charmingly gowned In
    white silk with veil and wreath and
    carried sweetheart roses and lily-of-the-valley.
    Miss Mary Bonstadt, the bride's
    sister was bridesmaid, carrying roses.
    Mr. Herbert Zastrow of Martinsville
    acted as best man. After the ceremony
    about 300 guests gathered at the home
    of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
    August Zastrow of this place where
    delicious suppers were served at 6 o'clock
    and 12:30 with dancing from 8
    p. m. till 4 a. m. The happy couple
    left on a short wedding trip.
