    Notes:

    EDWARD ALLEN WIENKE, age 92 of North Tonawanda, New York, entered into rest on April 11, 2024 at his residence, while under the care of his loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born in Wheatfield, New York on December 4, 1931; son of the late John and Marie (Nantke) Wienke. Ed served three enlistments in the United States Air Force, where he earned several commendations. Afterwards, he was employed at the former R.T. Jones Lumber Company, in North Tonawanda, for 22 years. Ed was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie (Budden) Wienke in 2020. They were married November 26, 1952; and four siblings, Herbert and Richard Wienke, Florence Donner, and Mildred Mutchenbaugh.Survivors include a daughter, Gail (Robert) Gibbs of North Tonawanda; two brothers, Erwin Wienke, and Nelson Wienke; a sister, Lorraine Werth; three grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Wienke, Brianna (Matthew Reale) Fischer, and Robert J. Gibbs; six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Saturday - April 20 from 10 a.m. - noon. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Randy Kaminska, following visitation at noon, along with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice, or a charity of your choice. A private interment will take place in the VA National Cemetery of Western New York, Pembroke, New York.

    Jessie G. (nee Budden) Wienke, of North Tonawanda, entered peacefully into rest with family by her side on October 19, 2020 at age 90.
    Jessie was an Avon representative in the Tonawandas for 35 years.
    Beloved wife of Edward A. Wienke; loving mother of Gail (Robert) Gibbs; cherished grandmother of Christopher (Jennifer) Wienke, Brianna Fischer and Robert "R.J." Gibbs; adored great-grandmother of Jacob, Elizabeth, Christopher, Jr., Tyler, Piper Rose, and Chloe Wienke. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws here and in her home province of Newfoundland, Canada.
    Jessie was a donor to the University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. A remembrance celebration will be announced at a later date.

    JOHN E. WIENKE - John E. Wienke, 84, formerly of Cayuga Road, Bergholtz, died Tuesday (March 21, 1972) in the Abbey Nursing Home Kenmore, after a long illness. Born in Bergholtz where he lived most of his life, he was the husband of the late Marie Mantke Wienke, who died 1936. He was a.lifelong member of the St. James Lutheran Church, and a member of the 1 Bergholtz Volunteer Fire Co. He had been a cabinet maker, and worked for the Meyer Lumber Co. of North Tonawanda. Survivors include four sons, Herbert and Erwin Wienke of this city, Edward and Nelson Wienke of North Tonawanda: three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Motchenbauth of Buffalo, Mrs. Charles (Florence) Donner of Tonawanda and Mrs. Donald (Lorraine) Werth of North Tonawanda;-two brothers, Adolf Wienke of Sanborn and Relnhard Wienke of this city; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jagow, Mrs. Emma Haseley, Mrs. Esther Moll, all of this city; and Mrs. Ella Eggert of Sanborn, 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was father of the late Richard Wienke, who died in 1957. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Lahman officiating. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home (Pike and Jones), 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions to the St. James Lutheran Church Development Fund or the Lutheran Vespers will be acceptable as tribute, the family said.

    MRS. WIENKE DIES
    Bergholtz woman was Ill Two Years; Funeral Friday Afternoon.
    Mrs. Marie Wienke, wife of John Wienke, died last night in her home on Cayuga road, Bergholtz, after a two years' illness. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home with services at 2:30 in St James Church to be followed by burial in St. James cemetery. Mrs. Wienke was born in North Tonawanda and was 47 years old. Before her marriage she was Miss Marie Nanthe. Surviving besides her husband are the following eight children, Herbert, Erwin, Edward, Nelson, Richard, Florence and Lorraine Wienke and Mrs. Mildred Motchenbaugh.

    BERGHOLTZ, April 28.—A pleas-
    ant afternoon and evening was spent
