    Services for.Frank Schurr, 72,of 2906 Pine Ave., will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Tubinis Funeral Home by Daniel R. Colley, vicar of the Church of the Redeemer.Mr. Schurr, a native of East Wilson who lived in this city since 1910, died Sunday (Aug. 31,1958) at Memorial Hospital after a two-week illness. -An employe at the former William A. Rogers plant here, Mr.Schurr worked for the Carborundum Co. until his retirement seven years ago. He was a member of- Local 15-12058, Oil,Chemical and Atomic Workers.Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Winone Adams Schurr, and a son, Arthur Schurr, both of this city, and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.

    Bride of Three Months Complains of Husband's Treatment

    "He has $2.000 of his own; I have not a penny. We have been married only three months and I can no longer live with him because of his cruel treatment of me. God knows I would prefer ten years in prison to being compelled to live with him. And his mother warned me, too."The plaint was from Mrs. Anna Schurr,Main street woman who charged her husband. Frank Schurr, employed in a silver-plating works, with assault. Schurr, who has but one leg, was once before complained of by his wife who later secured his release because, she told the court,she had pity on him.The court said the woman was not compelled to live with her husband, and If she preferred to go to work she was at liberty to follow her own Inclination. "I do not blame you for wanting to leave him if what you say about him Is true, " said the court. The woman told of her being orphaned when nine years old. Her brother lives in Pennsylvania, but he Is about to go to the old country and his absence will deprive her of any relative in the country to whom she can look for aid. Schurr said his wife drank beer from a pail, with another man who was helping to move a stove. She also, Schurr said,kept company with a girl who is objectionable to defendant. Mrs. Schurr said the woman mentioned works at the same factory as her husband. Judge Piper adjourned further hearing until Saturday morning, recommending defendant to make some provision to give his wife a start If she decides on leaving him,

    One of the oldest residents of Niagara Falls died last night in the person of Mrs. Mary Frances Schurr,87 years old, whose death occurred at the home of her son, Frank Schurr, 2906 Pine avenue. She was the widow of Christian Schurr, a veteran of the Civil War and former member of the Wilson post of the Grand Army of the Reublic.
    Mrs. Schurr was born in Newfane in 1849. She came to Niagara Falls in 1918 and resided at 640 Thirtieth street until a year ago. Surviving her are three sons, Fred Schurr of Wilson, Frank Schurr of this city, and Willis Schurr of Gowanda; two daughters ,Mrs. Bird Sherman and Frank Frank Haner of Wilson and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Brandt of Newfane and Mrs. Jennie Richle of Detroit. Fourteen grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren also survive.
    Funeral services will be held at her son's home at 3 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Dr. Sylvanus S. Davies, pastor of St. Paul's M.E.church, officiating. Burial will be in North Ridge cemetery.
