    A private graveside service for Lena Walker will be held Saturday in Whitehaven Cemetery on Grand Island.

    Mrs. Walker died April 26 in Dameron Hospital in Stockton, Calif., after a long illness. She was 86.

    Born Lena Lovecchio in Kansas, she moved in 1951 to Buffalo, where she worked at a novelty store for several years.

    Mrs. Walker, who moved to Stockton in the early 1980s, volunteered at Dameron Hospital for 18 years.

    Her husband, Norval "Tex," died in 1984.

    Survivors include a sister, Frances Parne of Buffalo; a brother, Thomas Lovecchio of Stockton, Calif.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

    Lena Walker, age 85, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2005. She was born on April 25, 1919 in Kansas. Mrs. Walker was a volunteer at Dameron Hospital for 18 years, she worked at a Novelty store in Buffalo, New York for several years before moving to Stockton. Lena was always there for her family and friends.
    Lena was the beloved wife of the late Gary Vlaovich. She was the cherished companion of Lee Weeden of Stockton; dear sister of Frances Parne and Thomas Lovecchio, both of Stockton; the late Richard, Joe, Mel and Jennie; devoted grandmother of Jim, John, Julie, Jodie, Jeff and nine great-grandchildren.
    At her request, no services will be held. There will be a private committal at Grant Island, New York.

    redding supper was held at

    present. the tables were
    decorated in a blue and white
    color scheme. The bride's table,
    with covers laid for twelve, was
    adorned with tall white tapers and
    white lilies, and centered with a
    tiered wedding cake adorned with
    a miniature bride and groom.
    Later, a reception was held at
    the bride's home, which was decorated
    with baskets of cut flowers.
    Mr. and Mrs. Siefke have left
    for a wedding trip to the Adirondack
    mountains and when they return
    will make their home at 146
    Bryant street.
    Pre-nuptial showers were given
    by Mrs. George Siefke, Miss Mildred
    Primeau and Mrs Francis
    Primeau, Mrs. Kenneth Hemmerling
    and Mrs. Albert Weigand,
    Miss Violet Strassburg, Mrs. Oscar

    and Mrs. Dale Luther.
