    Notes:

    Helen I. Walezak, 97, of the Town of Tonawanda, passed away on December 3, 2020 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine (Klos) Walezak.
    Helen graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1941.  She was an Auxiliary Policewoman with the Niagara Falls Police Department for 20 years until her retirement in 1989.  She also worked as a Licensed Real Estate Agent for several years. 
    Helen was a member of the Niagara Falls Police Club, The New York State Association of Retired Law Enforcement Personnel, and an Honorary Member of the New York State Sheriff’s Association.  She was also a member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild of New York City, and active with the Opera Buffs of Western NY, where she served on the Board of Directors for many years.  In addition, she volunteered with the Niagara Falls Chapter of the American Red Cross, and also with the Niagara County SPCA, where she was a “Grand Friend” member.
    Helen is survived by her daughter, Susan (Thomas) Maio of Englewood, OH, and her sons, Paul Ensminger, of North Tonawanda and Daniel Ensminger of Reading, MA, as well as 3 grandsons.
    There will be no prior visitation or services.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Western New York Chapter of the American Red Cross, 786 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14209.  Arrangements by M.J.     Born in Poland, she came to
    Niagara Falls in 1912 She was
    a member of the Apostolic
    Prayer and Friendly Clubs,
    both at Holy Trinity Church.
    She is survived by two
    daughters, Mrs. Walter (Marie)
    Maslowski, of Lockport; Mrs.
    Helen Ensminger. of this city;
    a son, Felix Walezak. also of
    this city; two sisters, Mrs.
    Louis (Sophie) Grendisa, of
    Lockport; Mrs. Mary Rokosz,
    of Poland; a brother, Matthew
    Klos, of Poland; six grandchil-
    dren and six great grandchil-
    dren.
    Funeral services will be 9:15
    a.m. Wednesday at the Chester
    G. Tubinis Funeral Home, at
    10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church.
    Burial will be at St. Patrick's
    Cemetery, Lockport.
    A Recitation of the Rosary
    will be held at 8 p.m. Monday.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    Home Monday and Tuesday, 2
    to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
