    CLARICE POERSCHKE, age 90 of Wheatfield, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on December 5, 2020. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on May 18, 1930; daughter of William and Martha (Jagow) Siegmann. A graduate of North Tonawanda High School, she was a devoted mother and homemaker. Clarice was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, where she was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, PTL, Ladies Aide Society, also a member of the Wheatfield Garden Club, Wheatfield Republican Club, Historical Society of North German Settlements in WNY, an Elections Inspector for Niagara County Board of Elections, and enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards and dominoes.Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Poerschke on May 26, 2007. They were united in marriage on May 15, 1954; three brothers and two sisters, Harold (Vivian) Siegmann, Melvin (Mae) Siegmann, Erma (Daryl) England, Mildred (Leo) Witkop, and Donald Siegmann.Survivors include four children, Donna (Donald) House, Carol (Terry) Vosburgh both of Sanborn, Susan Poerschke of Medina, and Keith (Karen) Poerschke of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) House, Dan (Nicole) House, Gregory House, Jason (Minell) Poerschke, and Nathan Poerschke; great-grandchildren, Claire and Parker House; a brother, Richard (Jean) Siegmann; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Siegmann and Annamarie Poerschke.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday (December 11) from 3-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Michael Borgstede, on Saturday (December 12) at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road in Wheatfield. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

    POERSCHKE - Bernhardt O. Poerschke, 82, of the Town of Wheatfield, Tuesday (June 11, 1985) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Gates Circle aftera lengthy illness. Mr. Poerschke was a member of the Adams and St. Johnsburg Fire Co., the Town of Wheatfield Senior Citizens and St. Matthew Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (nee Heppner) Poerschke; two sons, Robert (Annamarie) Poerschke of Buffalo and Richard (Clarice) Poerschkeof the Town of Wheatfield; four grandchildren, Mrs. Donald (Donna) House of Sanborn, Keith (Karen) Poerschke, Carol and Susan Poerschke, all of the Town of Wheatfield; four sisters, Clara Freck, Leona Gillen and Ida Sumereski, all of Florida, and Mrs. Henry (Dolores) Brunea of Basom, N. Y.; two brothers, Paul Poerschke of Tonawanda and Edward (Edythe) Poerschke of Corfu, N. Y., he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda this evening 7 to 9 and Thursday 2 to4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m., the Rev. A. W. Moldenhauer will officiate. Interment in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery.     Ruth E. Poerschke, 87, of North Tonawanda, former Niagara County deputy commissioner of jurors, died Tuesday (Oct. 15, 1996) in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a brief illness. The former Ruth E. Heppner and her husband, Bernhardt O. Poerschke, managed the Coffee Shop & Snack Bar at the Airport Bowling Lanes in Cheektowaga in the early 1950s. Her husband died in 1985. They had been married 61 years. A native of Wheatfield, she served as deputy town clerk for the Town of Wheatfield from 1968 to 1971 and as deputy commissioner of jurors from 1973 to 1978. She was a charter member and past president of the Town of Wheatfield Republican Club and the Wheatfield Senior Citizens and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She also was a charter member and past president of the Adams Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, Robert W. of Williamsville and Richard R. of Wheatfield; four sisters, Myrtle Werth of Bergholz, Margaret Verch of North Tonawanda and Edna Chace and Gloria Dunn, both of Hallandale, Fla.; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Spallino-Amigone Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Wheatfield.

    SIEGMANN – William C. Siegmann, 80, died Monday (Sept. 14, 1964) at his residence, 6668 Errick Road, Town of Wheatfield. He is survived by his wife, Martha (nee Jagow); three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Mildred) Witkop, Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Carl (Erma) England of Sanborn and Mrs. Richard (Clarice) Poerschke of North Tonawanda; four sons, Harold of North Tonawanda and Melvin, Donald and Richard Siegmann of the Town of Wheatfield; 22 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Jagow of the Town of Pendleton, and a brother, Henry Siegmann of the Town of Wheatfield. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, where services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Clarence W. Rabe will officiate.     Martha A. Siegmann, 103, formerly of Errick Road, died Thursday (April 30, 1998) in Northgate Manor Nursing Home, where she had lived since 1985.
    A lifelong resident of Wheatfield, the former Martha A. Jagow was the oldest living member of St. John Lutheran Church.
    Mrs. Siegmann also was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and enjoyed baking and gardening. Her husband, William C., died in 1964.
    Survivors include four sons, Harold, Melvin, Donald.....a daughter, Clarice Poerschke; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday in St. John Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls Boulevard and Ward Road. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
