    Notes:

    Gladys Anna (Banfield) Dunets, 93, of Wheatfield, NY, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on December 13, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, from complications of COVID-19.  Born on June 14, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bertram Banfield and the late Mabel (Stricker) Banfield.

     
    Gladys was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools.  She was employed for many years by Mount St. Mary's Hospital, and for a brief period at the former Hills Department Store. Gladys then worked for DiCamillo Bakery, where she was known as 'The Cookie Lady,' up into her ’80’s.

     
    Gladys was a long time member of First Assembly of God. She loved animals and enjoyed baking, listening to the Gaither Vocal Band and traveling to Pennsylvania. Above all, Gladys loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     
    Gladys is survived by her grandchildren, Kristen (Joe) Smiech, Heather (Greg) Jastrzemski, Michelle (Philip) Mocniak, Shawn (Sandra) Haseley, Aaron (Maria) Dunets and Cherie (Dan) Swain; great-grandchildren, Emily, Kaleb, AdriAnna, Avery, Kaiden, Avery, Cameron, Gabby, Levi, Nadia, Angelo, Emma, Eleanor, Luca, Rosie, Gino, Conlin, Knox, Zachary and Charlie; a special niece and caregiver, Shirley Bolea and several nieces, nephews and cousins,  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her children, Barbara (surviving, Russ) Haseley, Edward (surviving, Christine) Dunets and Sharon (surviving, Harry) Hardenstine; a great-grandson, Johnathan Edward Swain and siblings, Raymond, Irene, Leonard and Albert.

     
    Private prayers of committal and interment will be held in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. 
    If desired, memorial offerings may be made to First Assembly of God or the Niagara County SPCA. Arrangements are under the professional care of Michael R.     70, who died unexpectedly Saturday
    (Jan. 14, 1967) in Mount
    St.. Mary's Hospital. He resided
    at 2845 Collins Ave., Town of
    Niagara.
    A native of Sussex, England,
    Mr. Banfield came here 47
    years ago. He was employed as
    a laborer by General Abrasive
    Co. until his retirement in 1961.
    He was a-member of the First
    Assembly of God Church and
    served in the Canadian Army
    during World War I.
    Surviving are his wife. Mabel;
    two davighters. Mrs. Irene La-
    Guille and Mrs. Gladys Dunets,
    of this city; a son. Albert L.
    Banfield. this city; two sisters,
    Mrs. May Kunkle and Mrs. Violet
    Dennis; this city: a brother,
    Martin Banfield. of Kenmore;
    seven crandchildren and three
    great-grandchildren.
    Rev. John D. Piner. of the
    First Assembly of God Church.
    Will officiate at the 1:30 p.m.
    serviceTuesday at Bell Funeral
    Home. Burial will be. in Memorial
    Park Cemetery.
    The family will be present today
    from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
