Beloved companion of Sheila Scherrer; dear father of Jennifer (Chris) Scherrer, Frederick (Meghan) Scherrer III, Nathan Scherrer and Caleb Scherrer. Grandfather of Holden, Heathcliff, Madisyn and Preston; beloved son of Frederick J. Scherrer of the Town of Wheatfield and the late Joyce (Marten) Scherrer; beloved grandson of Beatrice Marten; brother of Michele Erwin of Wheatfield; uncle of Nicholas Lupo; great uncle of Gracey Anne; nephew of Keith and Glory Marten.. Frederick J. Scherrer, age 88, under the care of Hospice of Niagara. Frederick enjoyed feeding the wild life around his neighborhood. He enjoyed spending time in the basement and garage woodworking. He also greatly looked forward to mowing the lawn. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea.
Frederick was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Marten) Scherrer, and his son Frederick John Scherrer Jr. He will be missed by his Daughter, Michele (Shelly) Scherrer Erwin. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Sheila Scherrer, sisters Elizabeth Augustyn and Anna Rung, brother Edwin Scherrer, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Last rites, will be held Thursday

Beloved mother of Keith (Glory) Wallace of Sanborn and the late Joyce Scherrer. Grandmother of Michelle Erwin, David (Kim) Marten and Randy Marten. Great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Donald Marten and Leona Black. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
