    Obituary of Sheryl Wheeler

    Sheryl “Jody” Wheeler passed away on Saturday January 9, 2021 at Niagara Rehab and Nursing Home in Niagara Falls, NY.  Born in Lockport on July 8, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Sharpsteen and Joanne Carver.  Jody worked at the Tuscarora Club in the kitchen as an Assistant Cook.
    Jody is survived by her daughter Laura Socha, grandchildren, Ian, River and Seaonna Walton.  She is also survived by her brother James (Laurette) Sharpsteen.
    There will be no prior visitation.  Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Online Condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.

    LOCKPORT-Arthur E. Carver,
    63, a methods operator at
    Harrison Radiator Division, General
    Motors Corp., for 34 years,
    died today in Lockport Memorial
    Hospital after an illness of a year
    and a half. He had been a Lockport
    resident since coming here
    from England, with his parents
    at the age of .18.
    Mr. Carver was a veteran of
    World War 1 Army service and a
    member of B. Leo Dolan Post
    No. 410, Ameican Legion.
    Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
    Alma Wendell Carver; three
    daughters, Mrs. Charles Neumann,
    Mrs. Emmons Wilcox and Mrs.
    Stanley Sharpsteen, all of Lockport;
    a brother, Fred Carver, Middleport;
    two sisters, Mrs. John
    Schelle, Batavia, and Mrs. Sidney
    Turner, Shelby Center, and five
    grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 10:30
    a.m. Tuesday at the Gaul Funeral
    Home, the Rev. Richard Lyons
    of the Baptist Church officiating.
    Burial will be in Cold Springs
    Cemetery.
