Edward E. Forsyth
December 5, 1931 - September 16, 2022


Edward E. Forsyth of Lockport, NY, dearest husband of Edith B. (Saunderson) Forsyth, peacefully entered
into the presence of the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2022, at home. He was born in the Town of
Lockport on December 5, 1931, son of the late William E. Forsyth and Florence L. Bixler Forsyth. Edward
served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from General Motors. Edward enjoyed
Genealogy, walking, spending time with his grandchildren, watching westerns, and was an avid
Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Akron , NY.
Loving father of Kathy (Kurt) Feitshans, Tim (Denise) Forsyth, David Forsyth, Brock Forsyth, Gwen (Ron)
LaJoie, Karen (Alan Jr.) Forsey and the late Kevin Forsyth. Father-in-law of Denise Forsyth. Brother of
Dick Forsyth and the late George and Elton Forsyth. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 13 great-
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on
Sunday, September, 18, from 4-8pm and Monday, September 19, from 4-8 pm. The Funeral service will
also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 11am. Burial will follow in Corwin
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY
14094.
