    FRANK LEROY FLAY, JR. age 81 of Sanborn, NY, was called to his heavenly home on February 8, 2021 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 7, 1939; son of the late Frank and Bernice (Little) Flay, Sr. A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, class of 1957. He was employed at Niagara Mohawk (National Grid) for 44 years, and retired as a Line Supervisor, on December 31, 2001. Frank was a long time member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where he served as an usher, elder, and choir member. He also earned the rank of Eagle Scout, during his youth.Frank was a former member of Calvary Lutheran Church, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls. He was an avid hunter, loved fishing, boating, and traveling throughout the world, with his wife.Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Gaynel (Grant) Flay. They were married June 3, 1961; two dear children, Steven (Dianne) Flay of Pendleton, and Wendy (Robert) Britton of Sanborn; a brother, Charles (late Gail) Flay of NC; sister, Shirley (Duane) Henneman of IL; loving grandchildren, Heather Flay, Steven (Marli) Flay, Bob (Katie) Britton, Garrett (Lindsay) Britton, and Mackenzie Britton; great-grandchildren, Jonah Britton, Cohen Flay, Maleah Britton, Wyatt Britton, and Lincoln Flay.Due to COVID concerns, a private service with the family, will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield. NY.

    Gaynel J. Flay (nee Grant), age 80 of Wheatfield, NY, was called home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 20, 2023 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY. Born on December 9, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Leona (Schultz) Grant. Gaynel was in the first graduating class at Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1960. She also attended the former Trinity Lutheran School in Niagara Falls, LaSalle and Gaskill. Gaynel was employed as an office worker for Voyager Emblems in Sanborn, and Flowers by Dianne in North Tonawanda. She ws a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls until 1982, and then became a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz. Gaynel was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Gaynel is survived by two dear children, Steven (Dianne) Flay of Pendleton and Wendy (Robert) Britton of Sanborn; loving grandchildren, Heather Flay, Steven (Marli) Flay, Robert (Katelyn) Britton Jr., Garrett (Lindsay) Britton, and Mackenzie Britton; great-grandchildren, Jonah Britton, Cohen Flay, Maleah Britton, Wyatt Britton, Lincoln Flay, Waylon Britton, and Benson Flay. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank L. Flay Jr.Friends may call on Sunday, from 2-4 p.m. at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, on Monday, March 27 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304 (Hamlet of Bergholz). A private interment will take place following the service, in the church cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

    MRS BERNICE FLAY

    Mrs. Bernice Ann Flay, 52, of 3029 McKoon Ave., died Wednesday (Dec. 8. 1971) in Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Toronto, Ont., she lived in Niagara Falls 50 years. Mrs. Flay was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society, treasurer of the Niagara Falls Historical Society, a former member of Plumbers Auxiliary No. 69 and a Gray Lady at Memorial Medical Center. She was an election inspector in the DeVeaux area for the last 10 years. Survivors include her husband. Frank L. Flay; her mother, Mrs. Howard (Lulu) Powell of Big Bear City, Calif.; two sons, Charles J. Flay of Vernon, N.Y.. and Frank L. Flay Jr. of Sanborn; a daughter, Mrs, Duane (Shirley) Henneman of this city; a sister, Mis. Harry (Hazel) Moshier of Lovington, N.M., and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Calvary Lutheran Church, at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Theodore Menter officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Contributions to St. Paul's Calvary Lutheran Church Memorial Fund are acceptable as tribute, the family said.

    SANBORN — Robert E. Warner, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. He was born in the Town of Cambria, on October 21, 1916, the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Haxton) Warner.

    Mr. Warner was employed with the I.E. du Pont Company for over 20 years, before retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Sanborn Fire Co. Band and enjoyed playing golf, gardening around his home and was an avid sportsman.

    Mr. Warner is survived by his daughter, Carol (late Raymond) Osswald; three grandchildren, Dianne (Steve) Flay, James (Debbi) Oswald and Donna Oswald. He is also survived by Raymond's wife, Joyce Wienke; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Raymond Oswald; brother of the late Wesley "Kelly" Warner, Maria Townsend and Dorothy Thompson.

    Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of his family. Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
