    44. died unexpectedly
    Sunday (March 25, 1962) at
    his home, 2707 Wilson-Cambria
    Townline Road. He had
    been a pipefitter at Hooker
    C h e m i c a l Corp., Niagara
    Falls, for the last 21 years.
    Born Feb. 28, 1918, in Bergholtz,
    Mr. Frerichs was a son
    of Herman and Clara Retzlaff
    Frerichs, coming to this
    community 16 years ago. He
    was married in-, 1939 in Buffalo
    to the former Gertrude
    Bogumil, who survives.
    Mr. Frerichs was a member
    of St. Paul's Lutheran Church
    and its council here.
    Also surviving are a daughter,
    Mrs. Howard (Diane)
    Krull, St. Johnsburg; five
    sons at home, H e r b e r t,
    Adrian, Nelson, Thomas and
    Richard Frerichs; two brothers,
    Lester and Theodore Frerichs,
    both of Wheatfield; two
    s.isters, Mrs. Clarabel Martin,
    Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Richard
    (Viola) Parris, Bergholtz;
    and a grandson, Glen Krull,
    St. Johnsburg.
    Friends may call from 2-8
    and 7-9 p.m. at the Hamilton
    and Clark Funeral Chapel,
    where services will be con
    ducted by Rev. Clarence Elliott
    at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
    Burial will be in North Ridge
    Lutheran Cemetery.

    Gertrude H. Frerichs, 83, died Monday (Feb. 8, 1999) in her Rainbow Park home after a long illness.
    The former Gertrude Bogumil, born in Buffalo, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
    Mrs. Frerichs enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid reader.
    Her husband, Herbert, died in 1962.
    Survivors include five sons, Nelson of Kuwait, Richard of Ransomville, and Herbert, Adrian and Thomas; a daughter, Diane Wittkop of Kansas City, MO.; 22 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
    Services were private. Burial was in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria

    RANSOMVILLE -
    Marie L. Goodman, age 93, of Ransomville, previously of Sanborn, died peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2014 surrounded by her children while under the care of Hospice of the Valley, in Mesa, AZ, where she resides six months every year. Marie was born on December 2, 1920 in Ransomville, the daughter of the late Fred and Grace (Magorien) Faery and was a graduate of Wilson High School and Doyles School of Beauty.
    She was a Beautician for 68 years, starting when she was 11 years old. Marie owned and operated Marie Hair Fashion, in Sanborn from 1963 to her retirement in 2000. She had also worked as a clerk in the Emergency Dept. at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for a number of years. On November 2, 1941, she married Gordon Goodman and she assisted him with the operation of his farm as well. Gordon predeceased her in 1979, leaving her to raise her five children.
    Marie was a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Ransomville, and a member of the Newfane and Sanborn Senior Citizens. She loved to travel, the country of Austria, Arizona sunshine, and Lake Ontario sunsets and breezes. Marie was a beautiful lady both on the inside and out. Kids loved her, student athletes from Starpoint and Immaculate Heart School in Tucson, AZ. She loved her family, friends, flowers (especially roses) and her rosary.
    Our beautiful strong mother will be missed by her children, Robert (Sharon) Goodman and Gregory Goodman both of Tucson, AZ, Kathryn M. (Adrian) Frerichs of Wilson, Richard (Annie) Goodman of Pekin, and Sherry (fiance' Doug Wainwright) Goodman of Mesa, AZ. She leaves thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters; a brother, James (Edith) Faery of Wilson; a sister, Therese Melcher of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Ellen Diez; a brother, George Faery; and a granddaughter, Deborah Frerichs.
    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 14th at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception RC Church, 4671 Town Line Rd. (Rte. 429), Ransomville with the Rev. James Bastian officiating. (Please assemble at Church.) Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Pekin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014, Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or to Immaculate Conception R.C. Church.
