  1. 6.  CASAMENTO, Theodore Russell was born about 1932 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY (son of CASAMENTO, Russell P and LABARBERA, Rose); died on 17 Jun 2021 in Town of Niagara, Niagara County, NY.

    Notes:

    Theodore ‘Ted’ R. Casamento, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away at his residence on June 17, 2021.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Russell P. and Rose (LaBarbera) Casamento.

    Ted was a lifelong Niagara Falls resident, graduating from Niagara Falls High School.  He graduated from the University of Buffalo with a Degree in Pharmacy Studies.  On February 29, 1964, he married Mary Ann (Bartos) Casamento.

    Ted was employed for many years as a pharmacist, with Crest Pharmacy, Singer’s Pharmacy, and most recently, Rite-Aid, where in addition to his work as a pharmacist, he trained Pharmacy Technicians across Western New York.  He was awarded for accurately filling the most scripts in one day, an accomplishment he took pride in.    Ted was a member of the Town of Niagara Lions Club and the Pharmacy Association.

    Ted played basketball in his younger years, both at the Boy’s Club and Niagara Falls High School.   He was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing.  Ted looked forward to his Wednesday morning coffee with his friends in Niagara Falls and Lewiston.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandkids games.

    In addition to his wife of 57 years, Ted is survived by his children, Rosemary (Jim) Kerins, Gary (Claudia) Casamento, T.R. (Tabitha) Casamento, and Ann Marie Mang; his grandchildren, Evan (Kaitlyn) Casamento, Lilly Casamento, Lauren Casamento, Sara Mang, Kayla Mang, Sean Casamento, Alicia Casamento, Amanda Casamento and Jennifer Kerins; several great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was the brother-in-law of Kenneth (Linda) Bartos and Henrietta (John) Ingham.

    Visitation will be held Monday, June 21 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  Theodore’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara St, Niagara Falls, NY 14303.  Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Town of Niagara Lions Club or to a charity of one’s choice.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.

    Stella (Tracinski) Bartos, 97 years old, passed away on November 10, 2016 at Northgate Manor. She was born in Niagara Falls on November 10, 1919, the daughter of the late Casimer and Agnes (Barscz) Tracinski. She attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. Stella and her late husband, owned and operated Bartos' Esso Gas Station on Third Street for over 50 years where she was the bookkeeper. She also worked for the Board of Elections as a custodian who set up voting machines at polling places throughout the City of Niagara Falls. For many years she volunteered at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Church and a current member of Divine Mercy Parish. Stella enjoyed crafting, sewing, attending Niagara University Basketball games and watching the New York Yankees, but her greatest enjoyment in life was caring for her family. Stella is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Theodore) Casamento of the Town of Niagara, Henrietta (Jack) Ingham of Niagara Falls and Kenneth (Linda) Bartos of Lewiston; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, M. Joseph Bartos; her brother, John Tracinski; and her sister, Genevieve Pils. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, where funeral services will begin at 9:00 AM on Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, corner of Niagara and 24th Streets with Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc. or Heart, Love and Soul.
