    Notes:

    Neil Richard Neumann, of Ransomville, NY, entered into the presence of his precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 23, 2020. He was born on July 25, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY. Neil was the son of the late Laurence and Lillian Neumann; the faithful husband of Cynthia for over 55 years.
    Neil went to Wilson High School where he excelled at basketball, baseball and continued to play both into his 50's. He served his country honorably aboard the USS Northampton CC-1 from 1964 to 1968.
    After the Navy, he worked at Harrison Radiator for 30 years, until his retirement. He kept busy teaching Sunday school, avidly playing his trumpet and enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He came out of retirement at age 69, driving bus for the kids at Lewiston-Porter. Neil was a dedicated member, elder, and Sunday school teacher at Niagara Frontier Bible Church. He enjoyed visiting Fort Niagara, where he read and watched sunsets with his wife.
    Survived by his wife, Cynthia (Hill) Neumann; his siblings, David (Carol), Richard (JoAnn), Mark (Lonnie), Marcia (late Ken) Hockenberry and Kelly (Mark) Ritchey; his children, Stephanie (Jeff) Gifford, Todd (Kippy) Neumann, Renee Neumann (Joseph Wraith), Aimee (James) Stefanski, Paula (John) Gifford, Stephen (Melissa) Neumann, Cherie (Joel) Garven, Michelle and Crystal Neumann; along with 28 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three on the way.
    A memorial service for Neil will be held at Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Dr., Lewiston, July 3rd, 2021 at 10 AM.

    Notes:

    Laurence W. Neumann of Ransomville, NY, entered into the presence of His glorious Lord Jesus on May 18, 2016, under the care of Hospice. He was born on August 9, 1913 on Shelter Island, NY. Laurence was the son of the late William G. and Anna Mae Neumann. He was also the faithful husband of Lillian for over 76 years.
    'Larry' was educated at Youngstown High School and briefly attended Niagara University. He served his country in the US Navy during WW II on the island of Guam. After the Navy, he worked for Pedro Motors for seven years. He then labored for twenty-two years for the US Postal Service as a rural letter carrier in Ransomville until his retirement. During his long retirement of forty years, he kept busy as an avid woodsman, loving to be out amidst the trees and using his chainsaw that had gladly replaced his old cross-cut saw. 'Larry' was a longtime, dedicated member of the Ransomville Free Methodist Church and the Niagara Frontier Bible Church. He was also treasurer for the Ransomville Rural Retirees for ten years.
    His favorite vacation spot, for over forty years, was Lake Mazinaw in Cloyne, Ontario, where he enjoyed fishing with his dad and the wonderful smell of the Canadian pines that surrounded the camp.
    He was predeceased by his sister, Grace; his brother, William (Bill); and sister-in-law, Rala, his niece, Cynthia Neumann; his nephew, John Neumann, and his son-in-law, Kenneth Hockenberry. He is survived by his children, Neil (Cindy), David (Carol), Marcia Hockenberry, Richard (JoAnn), Mark (Lonnie), Kelly (Mark) Ritchey; along with his 20 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and by his one nephew, James Neumann.
    There will be no prior visitation, but a memorial service will be held at the Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Drive, Lewiston, NY, on June 12th at 4:00 PM with Pastors Ron Logan, Richard Gilbert and Tom Broderick officiating.     Lillian Smead Neumann, of Ransomville, NY, entered into the presence of her Lord Jesus on December 13, 2018, at Niagara Hospice House. She was born on November 1, 1916, in Buffalo, NY. Lillian was the wife of Laurence Neumann for 76 years. Lillian's late parents were Hartwell W. and Lillian M. Smead.
    She was educated at Buffalo State Teachers College and taught grade school at various locations in New York State: Big Flats, Youngstown, and Ransomville at the Harry Stevenson Elementary School where she retired. During her retirement years, she taught in the Ransomville Free Methodist Preschool and Frontier Christian Academy at the Niagara Frontier Bible Church in Lewiston, NY.
    She was a longtime dedicated member at the Ransomville Free Methodist Church and the Niagara Frontier Bible Church. She loved to study the Bible and share her insights with people of all ages. Lillian was also a member of the Ransomville Rural Retirees for many years. She loved to be with her six children, 20 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
    Her favorite longtime vacation spot was Lake Mazinaw in Cloyne, Ontario, where she had sweet memories of sitting around the campfire and singing praises to God as the sound echoed out over the lake at night.
    Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Larry; her only brother, Neil Smead; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Hockenberry. She was also the mother of Neil (Cindy), David (Carol), Marcia (Kenneth) Hockenberry, Richard (JoAnn), Mark (Lonnie), and Kelly (Mark) Ritchey. She is survived by two nieces, Sandra Nesbitt and SueAnn Megran; and two nephews, Larry Smead and James Neumann.
    There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Niagara Frontier Bible Church on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 11:00AM. Pastors Richard Gilbert and Tom Broderick will be officiating.
    Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Drive, Lewiston, NY 14092 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.

    RANSOMVILLE — Jean Frances Hill, 88, went home to be with her Lord Jesus, on May 21, 2011. She was born on January 7, 1923 in Ransomville, NY, to Gordon and Marion (Birchard) Carew.

    Jean grew up in the hamlet of Ransomville and married Edward B. Hill on June 15, 1940. She was a mother of 10 children and was a lifetime member of Niagara Frontier Bible Church. For 30 years, Jean drove a bus for Ransomville Bus Lines. She was known for baking delicious cinnamon rolls, breads, and cakes. Jean loved reading the Bible and praying with her dear Eddy.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Marion Carew; her husband, Edward B. Hill; sisters, Marjorie Carew Jones, Patricia Carew (Gene) Reid; brothers, Robert and Jack Carew; son, David E. (Chung Lee) Hill; and her daughter, Dawn L. Hill. Jean is survived by her brother, Gordon (Doris) Carew, Baltimore, MD; sister, Barbara Carew (Kenneth) Taylor, Wilson NY; children, Paul (Carol) Hill, TX, Mark (Jerry Grace) Hill, CA, John (Karon) Hill, WA, Cynthia Hill (Neil) Neumann, NY, Edward Hill, CA, Debbie Hill (Gary) Dexter, AZ, Michael (Kim) Hill, CA and Janet Hill (Greg) Callahan, MD. Jean was a loving grandmother to 23 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

    after an illness of three
    months.
    A chemical operator at
    Stauffer Chemical Co. plant
    in Lewiston, for 39 years, Mr.
    Carew was born in Lindsey.
    Ontario on Aug. 5, 1900. He
    lived in this community for 40
    years.
    He is survived by four
    daughters. Mrs. Nelson Jones,
    Starke , Fla., Mrs. Kenneth
    Taylor. Wilson, and Mrs. Ed-
    ward Hill and Miss Patricia
    Carew, both of Ransomville;
    three sons, Gordon Carew,
    Houston, Texas, Jack Carew,
    Sanborn, and Robert Carew,
    Arlington, Va.; and two broth-
    ers, Thomas Carew, Stamford,
    Ont., and Alec Carew, Bur-
    lington, Ont.
    He is also survived by 21
    grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
    Funeral services will be
    held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the
    Hardison Funeral Home South
    Lake Street, with Rev. Thomas
    Simpson of the Free
    Methodist Church, officiating.
    Burial will be in North Ridge
    Cemetery. The family will be
    present at the funeral home
    from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7
    p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and
    Friday.
