Obituary

James M. Loughrey, age 69 of the Town of Tonawanda, June 25, 2021 after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Jim was a life-long resident of the Tonawandas and worked at General Motors retiring after 38 years as Supervisor in 2013. He was a member and Past President of the Sweeney Hose Volunteer Fire Co. #7. He loved bowling and golfing, bowling a 300 game and hitting a hole in one, were cherished moments for Jim.  He was a huge Bills fan and he loved anything outdoors. He was the son of the late Edward and Vivian (Galley) Loughrey.
Beloved husband of Christine (Behm) Loughrey for over 37 years. Father of Tara (Michael) Gregorio, Jason (Lori) Loughrey, Maria (Brian) Colf, Steven (Laura) Kendall, Shevonne (Tim) Brown, and Katherine “Katie” Loughrey.  Grandfather of Andrew, Brooke, Katie, Gavin, Loren, Tim, Anna, Jack, Alex, and Timmy.  Brother of Patricia Dean, Clifford Loughrey, Claudia Higgins, Wendy Kraft, Edward Loughrey and the late Robert Loughrey and the late Rhonda Riggs.  Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at  the FRETTHOLD & HAMP FUNERAL HOME, 37 Adam Street at Seymour in Tonawanda  on Monday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM, a funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 7:00 PM, the Rev. Jeremy Lopez will officiate, interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
